Imagine quitting the game because there’s no mission table 🤣🤣
I liked the Draenor and Legion mission tables, Battle for Azeroth's was a bastardized version of the prior two, and Shadowland's was simply awful. So as much as I enjoyed the gold I got from Draenor and Legion thanks to my alt army, I am OK with WoW taking a break from it all.
Terrible news as it was reaching near perfection with shadowlands, and just needed some tweaks and increase in rewards to be more attractive to players, even with it being completely optional.Losing features is always bad, i hope they reconsider or at least implement something similar that allows a more passive income for people without time to grind materials or gold.
Well, thank fu.......tch. But they said the same thing last 2 expansions, hopefully it holds true.
This is definitely going to hurt players with my playstyle; the mission table was probably my largest source of gold, mainly because I stopped doing callings.
Sounds like a great opportunity for people to branch out and dig into the crafting revamp coming up. Can’t do a lot? That’s ok just do what you can .
I for one am glad to see the mission tables go.
"Easy gold" is why something outrageously expensive in 2007 costs 15k gold, and now costs 350k gold. The first mission tables, the WoD ones, should've been the last. Put in the work for gold or don't- the difference is: you have gold, or; are an entitled beggar/complainer, or hyper-casual that thinks your $15/month includes a free pass to all End-Game Content. Mission tables caused mass inflation when they were introduced, don't even try to argue against the effect WoD mission tables had on the economy, you're wrong if you do.I've found my niches in the market, and am far from a gold-capped multi-account %^&*!, but I don't whine and complain about the cost of doing content. GET A PROFESSION OR DO SOME RESEARCH, AND PUT IN THE WORK. Mission tables are failed welfare systems. Stop catering to the casuals to the detriment of people who actually put in the effort for what they have.-Screw the Boosting.-Screw the mission tables.-Screw the one-expac features that people feel can't be "lived without", but are still worked around and forgotten, expac after expac.Bring back dungeon/raid attunements, make LFR/Dungeon Finder less pertinent. THIS IS AN MMORPG. NOT A MASSIVE "CATERING TO EVERYONE'S BIASED OPINION MMO-Hand Everything to You for Free -RPG." Get real, stop whining about the %^&* that deserves to be in the graveyard, whine about the stuff that stops this games from being good. Who cares about "Your Life" when everyone else cares about their own. Stop being selfish, stop ruining the game and community with that selfishness. Go back to Final Fantasy or Club Penguin.-Borrowed Power for entire Expacs (Legion/WoD)-No Tier Sets (Kinda, fixed)-No Entry-Barring components to assure people know wtf they are doing when they get in. (SHIFT+J OPENS DUNGEON JOURNAL IF YOU CANT BE BOTHERED TO USE YOUTUBE OR GOOGLE TO LEARN YOUR #$%^)Paying 300k G for AotC should NOT give you a sense of entitlement. You didn't work for it, you didn't try for it- You shouldn't have it. Period. Boosting and easy gold have messed up this game I love so much that I can't even articulate my thoughts on it 100%.
I'm so glad. I hated all mission tables. They ruined the economy in WoD, and were pointless since then.
For now it feel barebones the expac, Lets see what else we have
That's a shame. The WOD version was bad but every version since then has been kinda neat - especially Legion and SL. I enjoyed hunting down and collecting followers and it was a good way of having some passive gold / material income and even gearing alts. Most of my anima income on alts was from the table and it made them have a steady income to buy transmog etc with.I'd be happy if the dev time was invested elsewhere in something even more enjoyable, but it feels like the mission table could be pretty light on dev time if they wanted to, mirroring the Legion one where you had set followers etc instead of making the task bigger by having a SL-esque massive cast of followers.Curious as to where Augment runes will come from now. The MT was the prime source of them in SL, I hope we don't go back to a world where only tanks and healers can earn them and every dpser is just having to pay out of pocket for them as an arbitrary gold sink.
Thank the gods I absolutely despise these systems
I'm actually pretty disappointed to hear this. I quite liked how the SL mission table functioned. From the unique followers to the formation gameplay to the semi relevant rewards, it all felt pretty optional but also rewarding if you chose to engage. To me a major improvement to the system that came with SL is how the encounters visually resolve when you go to collect. It was a lot of fun for a small mini game and I'm gonna be a little sad if DF doesn't have a mission table. :(Though while on the topic, a past mission table feature I really miss from Legion was the bodyguard system. Getting to pick a follower and have them accompany you out in the world was cool. And while I don't miss the Legion/BFA equipment system I did appreciate that in Legion through bodyguard's follower equipment you could customize WQs rewards. E.g. You could equip stuff that awarded gold or Order Resources in addition to the WQs base reward. This made even WQs with base rewards I didn't care about somewhat rewarding to still do. Whether I was doing them because there were needed for an emissary or just because they were near the dungeon I was waiting for people at. It felt like a nice bonus. The mission table being a system they already have built, I don't think it would be too much work for them to slot it in somewhere later during development if they change their plans. I still hold on to hope that the mission table system will be present in DF with some new additions/improvements. Heck, it could even be added post launch since it seems like a minigame would be something they could include in smaller scale patches like a x.5 without too much difficulty. Though I really will miss it if it's not present at all in DF.
