I find the Alliance's war story quite pathetic, considering their success keeps relying on sudden power increases on singular characters. Night Warrior is just as much an asspull as Jaina's arcane demigodhood, both being what was needed to turn the tide. Or, well, not quite, Sylvanas had still prepared a tactical ace in the hole for Lordaeron and Darkshore is still going to be a warfront.Having said that, it's at least good the Night Warrior was buffed to represent what it's supposed to. It's possible the Horde will discover a power increase of their own, though I can't say I wish for it, because granted power increase like that isn't a good story telling element imo. The basic grunt wields mass-produced armor and a weapon and war is fought like that as in real world history. What's the point if you add Dynasty Warriors in the mix who effortlessly mow through thousands? Might as well let them do all the fighting and tell ordinary soldiers to sit back.
Really glad to see Blizzard listening to the community like this. All of these changes are extremely welcome!
Mind control is pretty much confirmed in the Horde storyline."Derek Proudmoore will be twisted to become a weapon against Katherine and Jaina Proudmoore." In a quest text the Nazi Dracula mentions even "mental conditioning" if I remember correctly. You can argue about semantics, but it is definitely some kind of mind control. The problem: it's a big no-no in the Forsaken lore, so the writers can choose their poison here.
Love the fact she is untouchable because before the ritual, in the short story, even Saurfang admits she could one shot him... but legit, both Sira and Delaryn would NEVER follow Sylvanas. Legit, never, unless they do not have free will and by the Titans Blizzard better listen to us on how stupid it is that they instantly turn and insert more to the situation and have them be raised, but resisting and force the Valkyr to strip them of their free will. Horde has been forced to do this to multiple people, (forced undeath with Lilian trying to talk one through it, but still forcing her into undeath) in the WC, but these 2 particularly are for sure are not weak-willed enough to follow the one that burned Teldrassil. The only thing that could possibly make sense of why they would claim to be forsaken is if they have no free will. Sira knew the risks going to hold off the Horde to help the ritual finish, Delaryn knew the risks going in fighting against the Horde in Darkshore, she still had hope and was weeping for Sylvanas. Watching the wannabe Lich Queen burn Teldrassil would not in 10 million years, make her follow the one who did it... seriously Blizz, you are doing a better job of listening to feedback this patch, keep tweaking this to actually make sense. This is your chance for you to bring Calia Menethil into the main game story and let us get these two back free will and redeem them. There was a reason you let Christie Golden put "Lightforged" (resurrected by the light) Undead into the lore.Also... Nathanos needs to go (I'm sorry but 2 Valkyr would not be enough to empower him to stand toe to toe with 2 of the most powerful people in the lore), or you need to pick up the pace of introducing the 3rd faction, Horde vs Alliance vs Forsaken (undead of all races).
Nathanos is just a joke, we all already KNOW who made that character and why... and if you are reading, get help, Sylvanas ain't real and you ain't Nathanos irl.
Now that’s the Tyrande I was waiting for!
"Significant Changes" translating to "You still lose just slightly less pathetically" Yep. You can write away every pitiful moment in this disaster of writing by applying a buff or two! *!@#ing. Sad.Just kill off night elves Blizzard. It's clear you hate them the most. If a goddess can still get punked by the ghost angels we've been killing since Wrath than there's no ^&*!ing point to this 'ascension.' We get it. The Alliance is your baby's punching bag. Try not to !@#$ing rub it in anymore. Christ.
