Returning her soul was a surprise for me, but the Jailer retrieving the sigil and regaining his power was not.The final patch of the expansion I am fairly certain is going to involve the Sepulcher of the First Ones, they keep teasing it, there's no way they're going to leave that Chekhov's Gun alone. It's either the final zone or the final raid (or likely a combination) Also I don't think the sigil was ever actually the Arbiter's. Pretty sure Zhovaal was the leader of the 5th covenant that was broken when he betrayed them. You'll notice in the Arbiter's chambers there's a 5th sigil that's just totally smashed. What was the 5th covenants purpose? based on the Arbiter, I would say judging souls and he decided to go against the Purpose of judging them as he was intended to. We still don't have his motivation of what exactly he seeks to change about reality, I mean he wants to dominate everything but -why- other than being a card carrying villain hasn't been revealed. Anyway, I think at this point we can correctly guess they tore his sigil from him (the giant hole in his chest) and used it to empower the arbiter. She's not an eternal one so much as a construct, like the Kyrian Mnemis units or goliaths. Basically a soul fueled robot. The Arbiter was essentially a living sorting algorithm. Like the kyrian, no emotion or memory to get in the way of judging souls, just based on whatever 'programming' she was imbued with. Really, the jailer looks a lot cooler. Definitely 'final boss' worthy now. Really curious what his covenant/purpose was before he went rogue and if they reveal the -why- of it, though I'm not banking on anything. I still feel like Sylvanas will end up sacrificing herself and staying in the Shadowlands by the end.
Aaaaaaaand there it is. Now it's just a matter of time before her career as an omnicidal lunatic is brushed under the rug because she sacrifices herself with a quippy one-liner despite being partly responsible for how much success the BBEG had. Juuuust like Illidan and Kerrigan before her.
Looks like he gave Sylvannas her mortality back. I expect her to be a high elf with blue eyes the next time we see her.
The last 5 defenders going on crazy damage control lmao.
So much gymnastics just for the sake of one "bad" character, Sylvanas BS aside, the cinematic was interesting until her part came to play. Also, like others already said, cringe attempt on redemption. At this point I don't care anymore what lies ahead for Sylvanas, I just want her damn character off-screen. So much screen time, cutscenes, and cinematics wasted with a boring character...
I loved how they did this. The voice acting of Sylvanas is just super top drawer awesome.I feel like poor Bliz was in a "no-win" situation here because you were never going to please everyone but I think this was a really nice choice and I super enjoyed the cinematic and am interested to see where we go from here.
ty for subtittles lol
Wowhead why I can't Find Sylvanas Raid cinematic on your Youtube Channel ?
And now we wait another year to see what happens to Anduin
This is why I don’t pay attention to the story. Blizzard’s storytelling has always been bad.
Wow. Blizzard continues to prove they really just do not care about good storytelling.
Thrall should learn his lesson from Garrosh in SoO, and kill Sylvannas while he has the opportunity before Blizzard comes up with some sh*t for her to escape and launch a horrible expansion.
Damnit, he didnt kill the mary sue trio of Thrall, Bolvar and Jaina. Now i am even more disappointed. Those three are litteraly the only thing thats stopping the story from progressing in any meaningful way.
that was really awesome :D :D
You can't use the excuse of him controlling her because he had her soul, then have her disobey him in the same ****ing cinematic BEFORE she has her soul returned!
So uh... Subtitles anyone? That was... very difficult to discern.
