I think Sylvanas was feeding souls to the shadowlands to open up the gate because she wants to liberate souls trapped in the afterlife. Its up to the players to decide if her actions were the right way of doing that or not.Vol'jin saw the afterlife on his death bed. When he crowned Sylvanas warchief he said that nobody would understand. Queen Azshara saw it right before her last gasp of air.
Yall still blind to the truth.
hm on one hand i wonder how it will look if my forsaken destro/demo warlock joins the night fay in Ardenweald just to mess with Tyrande/nightelves ... ala "come on let's work together like in val'shara and forget that campfire.. ups did i bring up two of your trigger words"on the other hand ... they night fays just became a bit more unappealing imo.

Really good interview, I'm hype for Shadowlands now, feels like an opportunity to add more depth to so many characters.Have to say the kind of people who are like, "I don't care about this character's motivations, I already made up my mind about them!" and then complain about 'bad writing' in the next breath are super funny to me.
I would love to see Sylvanas redemption, but I don't think it's a good idea.Could this all give her back her pre-Arthas life? Or to restore Quel'thalas? - shouldn't Blood Elves already do it? What reason she could have? Only to not end in hell.. Which is selfish. If she wanted to raise Lirath Windrunner from death she could have done this by helself without killing everyone. There is no excuse for her actions. She should stand her trial for actions she did even if redeemed.
Sylvanas' motivations have never been shrouded in mystery. She's been motivated by one single thing since she took a nosedive off Icecrown; Don't go back to the Maw. Everything she's done, every bargain she's struck, every person she's killed, or enslaved has been with the single driving goal of not being sent back to an eternity of suffering in the Maw. She is and has ever since the end of Wrath been motivated by fear. She is ultimately a selfish coward.
ok so they pretty much confirmed the first Night Warrior was on another world and there were more. I think the next logical step is to assume that Elune, her worship spanning across many worlds, is on a higher tier than titans, probably one of those First Ones we're gonna discover more about
I wonder if we'll ever get some more Lore about the Earthmother. Seems like Elune is the focus atm which is cool, but I'd love to see more about Anashe & so on.
Sylvanas doesn’t need to be redeemed because she didn’t do anything wrong. The elves can’t be redeemed for leaving the horde to die helpless in the desert after the cataclysm. I hope the shadowlands events force open the eyes of people still defending the alliance.
Flynn and Shaw? When did that happen?
May Tyrande, Malfurion and Greymane be the ones to take down Sylvanas, Nathanos and the evil Forsaken in one of the most epic wartime battles in all of Azeroth's history. FOR ELUNE! ~Mythicdruid
