This lawsuit is pretty interesting. I'm glad I'm able to apply my love of WoW to the stuff I've been learning as a paralegal. Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP does pretty extensive research, though I thought it was pretty funny that they thought that Sylvanas was a Night Elf, lol.
WTF? Don't you have to change something by like a certain amount for it to be considered unique? How hard is that? Other then making him chibi that is 100% Illidan. They could've easily given him red skin, take away the blindfold, orange eyes, and give him a generic demon sword. And easy get a generic demon that bliz can't sue you over.
Ahhh, China. :)
Blizzard being way to late on that.if they get rid of one company..6 more will crop up in the next months. And yet Blizzard caters to the market that steals their assets blatantly...guess they like to be punished over and over
why it will be that this is not the first time that China uses Copy + paste in a video game now known for its mobiles games just to feed on the new users named "whales"?And It is also not the first time that they make mobiles games with references Blizzard games, Moba games and famouse north american games, which are also not a reference and worse are plagiarisms, it is already a robbery where they even end up being their characters owned by them.
Wait, so blizzard can sue them, but the makers of warlords battlecry couldnt sue blizzard due to warcraft 3 being a wb3 clone? :oUNlesss its litterally content created by blizzard, as in, models, assets, and what not, artwork does not belong to blizzard...... lol
I learned more about copywright and IP laws in the wowhead comment section than I would have anywhere else, thank you all.
China doesn't play by any rules. They have so much money and power they don't need to care about anything.
One down from the list. Every day i see a new game that totally ripped off from blizzard.
