This is why i have been doing other stuff since reaching HoA 50 on my dk.
Hahahahahahahaha. Ha. Much troll. Such Brizurd!
This is the flipside of catchup systems put in by blizzard, you can’t get too far ahead. To be honest I’m not even 50 and I stopped caring back in March/April. Why? Because I know that with AK increases or some other mechanism I’ll get boosted on my main and alts to 50. For everyone doing mythic and higher keys, yes you have a right to care and to do your best. And it’s going to take several instances of blizzard doing this to scare you away or if your guild disbands. As for the rest of us doing heroic and under, why care? Effectively everything in the game at this point has invalidated the time-constrained yet still invested population of the game for those that are not invested at all. Why continue to care when blizzard routinely undermines all of our effort to do well in the short time we can play, all to satisfy and ensure people can’t get too far ahead or behind? That’s been my biggest problem with bfa, and it became apparent the moment we had arathi rares. Mobs that gave 340 gear for just being lucky which undermined all progression at that point. Extreme forms of catchup that make everything before hand pointless. And heavy caps put in place to prevent you from getting too far (time-gates via warfronts, incursions, and arguably emissaries). It’s all just so tiresome.Rip for everyone that has 6 boxes wasted.
They put the mechanic in to prevent exactly what was done. Of course they'll fix it.
I guess it's perfect time to quit WoW. There's no light at the end of the tunnel. They will keep slowing and timegating content more and more to boost teh time played metrics to please shareholders instead of making fun and engaging content that doesn't need systems on top of it to keep players subbed as long as possible.I'm so tired of Blizzard forcing me to play the game theirs way instead of letting me play the way I want.
It's expected. Actually it's miracle that they will give anything. Usually all "old" "before-patch" boxes turns to nothing as it was before.
Like, the only ppl who would've gained an advantage from this are ppl who would've logged on every day for no other reason than to do the dailies for this reason. I can't understand why that shouldn't be encouraged. I mean, they want ppl to play, right? And shouldn't a little effort every day be a thing that is rewarded?
Typical of Blizzard I would say. Even though I was sitting at 3 paragons of each faction, I was expecting this. Blizzard would probably claim that we were sitting at an unfair advantage to others, but they are pissing on our time and effort in the mean time.
The alternative is they jack the next level of AP up an absurd amount so the 30k or whatever people saved up was meaningless. People should have expected this. It's never been beneficial to save paragon caches. Why would it have magically changed now?
Anyone know what addon are they using to show the rep past 10k/10k?In the normal UI it just stays at 100%
One can say this was expected. Probably it was. They way they do confirm it, just a few days before patch launches is horrible. I did no grinding on AP for my main, and i've been at 50 for about a month both. So i thought i could do this "saving" AP for later use. Well, how i was wrong. And also, It's not the same thing as legion, because we already had a "cap" of how much AP we could save, and that was 6 boxes on bank/bag, and 19999 rep at each faction. It wouldn't do that harm. People who did this would get one level of heart max. And with Knoweledge kicking in, this would be easily reached by all the community. Personally, i disagree with this decision. Call me selfish, but in the end of the day, we all are a little.
well capped on AP, was holding 'cause not gaining any more ap - what's the point? Guess i can open those boxes now. Ain't gaining the ap no matter what.
