I understand you guys need to have ads to generate money but when the page constantly shifts up and down to reload ads its pretty frustrating. Not to mention if you have multiple wowhead tabs open it makes chrome bog down your computer. Not that it really matters. I'm still going to visit here everyday anyway.
Mobile wowhead experience sucks on Safari with iOS.Any word on improvements to this experience? Or maybe an app for WoWhead?
Could y'all please remove the constant, autoplaying videos while you're at it? It's so annoying.
Normally, I hate change but this isn't that bad.
Please remove the BFA cinematics on the guides because it is annoying to see always the same things moving
WoWhead is notorious for its invasive ads, popups, auto-loading and playing videos, and heavy drain on resources. While I appreciate you fixing the design aspect there are many core problems that should be addressed as well before I turn off my ad blocker for the site"Videos shouldn't autoplay" They do on mobile, at least for me. To be fair sometimes they dont even load at all and just leave a blank spot too.
It looks alright, it's definetly cleaner in terms of visual noise. One thing however is the designer might want to do a bit of research on icons. The cookie/localization/feedback icons on the top right don't really fit the function, or aren't expected in that place of a user's screen. For example; cookie settings are usually a one-time thing a user visits (if he even does), so information like that is usually expected on the bottom of the page, or somewhere in a user menu. For the localization icon I would go for this instead: https://fontawesome.com/icons/language?style=solid. It's a more universal way of describing "language" or "localization".
All feedback is welcome, and feedback related to new design is especially valuable. Please keep comments civil and objective. Thank you!
This is a very pretty change, I like it but will the blue posts, recent news and today in Azeroth sections still be there? I use those sections a lot but on the mobile site it makes it harder to navigate so I'd understand if they were moved. Also, well there be enough room for the fun Wohead rocket designs at the top? Those are neat. Keep up the good work! :D
Guys come now, its $9 a year to have ads removed.I don't understand the need to yell about something that has to be done in order to keep the site up and running. True ADs can for sure make things go a bit crazy around here, but if your fan and use the site daily just help out, I'm sure it would be very much appreciated! ----Now for the feedback...I'm loving the overall more "Modernizing" of the site, it's very clean. I do however have one issue the Icons in the top right seems to be misplaced, you might wanna throw them in the user menu seeing as they fit very well there, everything else seems solid.Big Thanks for the Clean Up!
Have none of you heard of adblocker lite?
Still can't understand what's the point of AUTO-playing wow cinematics on wow sites? It's not even an ad, it's annoying and makes you want to enable ad block.
