Why not this? Why not that? Because this is Blizzards solution, and it's fine. The world doesn't revolve around you snowflakes...
This is a good change. If, at the end of the week, I wanna help some guildies run a key and mine is too high, I could potentially be locked out of instances by lowering my key in the dungeon. It's a straight up QoL improvement. And is still probably faster than manually lowering it. Just have your team head to the dungeon and summon while you stop in Oribos to lower the key.
I agree. they ALL just want a chance to be that guy! c'mon. This is a GOOD THING. Don't mess it up with complaining, you Chads and Karens!
im glad that they brought it, letting someone in your group deplete his/her key and then summoning them to the dungeon shouldn't be that big of a deal and its less time consuming when compared to resetting instance every time to lower the key level
Good change, though a good change isn't worth anything when stacked on top of a laundry list of bad changes and designs, maybe it will when Blizzard actively develops the game with player feedback in mind. This should have been a feature in Legion and BfA.
This isn't an elegant solution. The elegant solution would just be letting us select the level we want to run at, up to the level of the keystone itself. When we put it in, just give us a pulldown menu where we select what level to run the key at. Easy peesy, and doesn't require extra steps.
Aw for a moment when I saw this title I thought it meant you could go back to legion season 1 or tourney realm functionality and keep failing the same dungeon on the same level but without loot.
This is a dumb way to solve the problem. The simplest way is to copy and paste over the Torghast layer-choosing mechanism, in which the window lists all the available key levels for you to click and accept.
maybe in the future they will add an npc near a dungeon entrace but for now is fine since is the base for something better
