If you're a BM hunter turn off pet taunt and let Brann tank him and you'll have a much easier time.

"Complete the Delve Seasonal Journey" means completing seasonal battlepass like thingy when you open Delves tab.

I must be tripping, my BM Hunter is getting wiped with this guy, my pets can normally handle dang near anything and he destorys bran, than my pets, than me before I can even drop him 10%.

Doesn't seem like his max tier counts towards quest completion. I skipped straight to fighting him on highest tier and after 30+ attempts, killed him and didn't get quest completion.

He appears like Butcher from Diablo, its random.

Appeared on my 4th delve of the day on T6 - Earthcrawl Mines, 40mil health.
His fear mixed with Neb webs on floor got me slapped hard. If you die though you at least get the Heavy-Handed

Also, Zek dropped me Relicblood of Zekvir 3/4 despite not killing him.

This was hotfixed so that you no longer need to complete the seasonal journey part. Just kill the boss and you're done.

How to solo this boss as BM

(Current as of 9/11/24, boss subject to frequent mechanic changes by Blizzard)

After about 15 pulls I was able to kill him. ilvl 598. Wowhead delve build. Ferocity pet (taunt off). Brann DPS lvl 24.

How? Pet tanking is pointless. Your pet will die in 2 hits. Brann tanking is pointless. Even with MD the boss doesn't care about Brann at all.

Kite. Like. Your. Life. Depends. On. It. You can use your entire rotation on the move. Don't stop moving (unless you're on the complete opposite end of the boss while he's casting a thing.) Pray for RNG. Use your movement CD's thoughtfully just as the boss would otherwise get into melee range, while running circles around the room. The boss will periodically root himself and cast a thing, giving you plenty of time to get away from him. Use a movement CD if he's about to reach you. Movement CD's up? Use a defensive. Keeping disengage for getting out of his damage cone is helpful if you're a Worgen with an extra speed boost. Otherwise, if you're too far from the boss, you probably won't make it out in time. Let Brann interrupt every other poison cast. You get the other ones. Brann forgets to interrupt? It's a wipe. Go agane. Pray to RNGesus for better RNG.

Kill the adds as they spawn immediately, before they hatch, but keep kiting the boss and watch for interrupts.

I was able to beat him on my 600 ilvl Aff lock. I have Brann be DPS with Combat Curio (Rank1 and Utility Curio (Rank 2) talent. The pet that I choice is the imp. The imp can dispel the aoe poison which it ticks very hard and make you very slow and that way that save you the headache for interrupting his cast and give you more time to dps him. Now for the add. 1st add I just bust the egg down as quickly as I can Brann can muster, next 2 egg adds throw dots and just line of slight when its cast ability and slowly burn the add down and just focus on burning Zekvir down. By the time 4th add comes out the boss is dead.

For anyone struggling with this as Paladin: I tried a couple attempts as Prot and it wasn't going to happen with my 600 ilvl.
Brann as a DPS refuses to target the Cocoon before it hatches, so I swapped to Ret to be able to deal with it myself.

Whenever Zekvir summoned the Cocoon I would look at timers(dbm, bigwig, weakaura, etc), to see when he was going to cast Fear or Enfeeble
Then I would interrupt Enfeeble when he finally casts it, and Divine Steed out of the Fear range to go focus the Cocoon before it hatched
If you try to jump on the Cocoon as soon as it spawns then you will probably get hit with the Fear, then with Enfeeble, and end up dead without Divine Shield

I was able to beat him on my 604 ilvl destruction warlock. I have Brann be healer so he can interrupt and dispel plus we cant rely on him to dps consistently. With imp being the pet, we don't need to worry about interrupt at all. Just dispel you or Brann as soon as you can. Make sure you have single target talents, and same those skills to burn down the egg. Then it's just a matter of dodging boss' aoe, and save skills for the egg, and win!

Ok so I went into this boss on ? lvl as a ele shaman at 604 ilvl.

I had brann as healer (to utilize the heals and dispells incase i missed a interupt). and Combat Curio plus Amorphous relic. plus he gets hit for a ton as a dmg dealer so its not worth it to have him as dps.
I used everything at the start exept Stormkeeper, I saved that for the first add. 2nd add I used spiritW grace with some proccs/Maelstorm, 3rd Fire ele 4th storm and so on. Just make sure either u are maxxed out on Maelstorm with some proccs or have a CD/trinket to use. Brann can also dispell one of the adds casts if it goes through however it will just make it more hectic and you most probably will get oneshot by the frontal.

I used a focus interupt macro to use when dpsing the egg. other than that just keep track of where Brann throws the healpots and just practice, I think i did like 30-40 pulls before I got him down. The scaling in group is just terrible

i killed him as ele shammy 584 with wowhead's farseer lightning build, used brann as a healer. popped everything on pull then saved cooldowns for the eggs.
i found this fight way easier to solo than as duo or with full group.

dunno if he was nerfed or anything but zek'vir cast (i think it's Enfeebling Spittle) wasn't doing tons of damage, just be careful beucase the slow can kill you paired with the other mechanics.
hard focus the eggs and take your time to kill him. gl!

Couldn't get it as 590 Brewmaster cause I didn't have enough dps for the eggs. Windwalker went much smoother without too much thought. Brann set to heal and the ToD CDR talent was very useful here. I turned on BigWigs to get the timer for the Enfeeble cast and turned off all the other timers to only see that cast. I didn't really hold cds or anything but Strike of the Windlord of course would make easy work of the eggs if ToD is on CD. If a spider hatches then you just gotta use leg sweep and paralysis on the spider and hope you got it low enough to kill it. It's too risky to use your kick on the spider even though Brann does sometimes dispel Enfeeble on you. I actually got stunned on my kill by trying to squeeze in another GCD before leg sweeping on one but I got lucky. Could just play it safe and cycle between ToD and Strike of the Windlord for eggs.

We couldn't do it. Neither solo, nor tank + DPS, nor full group. We do not have a dmg for eggs. Last patch makes it enormously difficult. Maybe wait for the next hotfix...

The boss appear to me in a delv under City of Threads, delve lvl 5 after killing certain mobs. It killed me then goes, but i swear i have seen this shape or shadow surrounding my way to finisht the place.

Did this solo as a fury warrior with 584 ilvl and healer Brann. Took a bunch of attempts as you can't make any mistakes.

Place the boss on its little platform, this will make all cocoons predictably spawn on the same platform, allowing for a little extra cleave damage. The boss' hp is of little priority though. Save all DPS cooldowns for the cocoons, but don't use ALL of them on the first. Then "simply" don't get hit, drink Brann's potions when needed, hit your interrupts (Spell Reflection does not work) and eventually you'll win.

Just managed to solo kill it, after at least 15 attempts.
Here some encouragement: Do not give up if you try to solo it. It is killable!

Set Brann on healer, Porcelain Arrowhead idol and Relicblood Zekvir.
Not sure if this was the most optimal set up but it worked for me.

606 Elemental Shaman, farseer build.

- Keep AS + PW for the egg,
- Always interrupt the cast
- Tremor totem and Gust of Wind can often help.
- Spiritwalker Grace when you feel that the egg is coming and you have to move out of any AOE dmg or fear.
- BL at start with Earth Elemental can be used twice, depending on your DPS.

I just got entrance to the Level 8 delve and will try fighting him. I did want to say, though, that Zekvir made an appearance in my Level 7 delve a couple of days ago. I'm not sure where he came from, but after I took a pummeling and vanished on him to heal up a bit, the fight instantly stopped and Zekvir disappeared. I thought Brann would keep attacking him like he does with the other trash in these delves. He never appeared again in subsequent Level 7 delves and I am left wondering if I would have completed the quest with the Level 7 appearance.

I'm in Kriegval's Rest, tier 3 and I'm an iLev 572 Frost Dk. Did a pull on one of the mystics and oh-my-god Zekvir showed up during the fight and one-shot me (maybe 2 shots). So it looks like he can randomly show up - maybe any Delve?

Description

We'll have tae watch out for Zekvir as we go exploring into delves. I don't think we're strong enough tae take him on just yet, but we will be! Let's keep explorin' and gettin' treasure until we're tough enough tae track down his lair and defeat him.
