Quest is displayed on map but the NPC is not there and I cannot find from where to pick it up.

Wish I knew what went wrong with this one. I remember picking it up while leveling, there was someone right next to Ellerdin that was giving this quest but they're no longer there after hitting 80. I had to abandon the quest because my log was full and now I can't pick it back up :(

so i have done the storyline of this one just a concerned friend is showing up as not done and with the command to check it it says false but i have done all the quests following after this one and the one before just not this one itself atleast i dont remember doing it but i did lost pieces, crowsourcing and lights gambit

I made it my mission to do every quest I saw this time around instead of just shotgunning to max level through the campaign quests. This quest was on my map and I was going insane looking for it till a nice lad in trade offered to share it with me from his log aaaaaaand... it said I already completed it. So if you're here wondering why no yellow exclamation mark, then that could be why. Try to run the script that Wowhead has for it and see if it says completed for you too before driving yourself crazy.

There are two breadcrumbs for this storyline:

A Concerned Friend from Val Thalvassa in Dornegal
A Moment To Rest from Great Kyron in Hallowfall.

Picking up A Moment to Rest will cause A Concerned Friend to become unavailable but the quest bang appears to remain on the Dornogal map.

After I dinged 80, I found Val Thalvassa at 51,04, 46.31, outside the bank/guild vault/great vault area.

I think maybe you can pick up this quest before you're supposed to be able to. I just reached the city on the campaign, had this quest from a visit to Dornagal, and turned it in... and nothing happened, except Anduin had been standing next to him and phased out.

I haven't done ANY of this is questline and nothing is showing. I can't find Val for the first one. I found Great Kyron but he doesn't have a quest either. I went to where Anduin is supposed to be for the third quest and he's not there. I've done the link for all quests and it says false, that I haven't done them. I'm at a complete loss right now.

I couldn't find this quest on the character that I was leveling through questing in Hallowfall, but when I logged back into my main that completed the campaign, she was already on the quest and I just had to send her to Hallowfall to run through the quest chain. It's a very character development driven quest chain, so it makes sense - my alt has no real idea who Faerin is.

To those that can't access the questline, this is what worked for me:

1 - Level to 80
2 - Complete the 4 zone storyline (Isle of Dorn, Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall, Azj-Kahet)
3 - Start the War Within Campaign by making your way to Alleria in Azj-Kahet (56, 44) and accept the quest "Surface Bound"
4 - Make your way back to Dornogal and meet Moira Thaurissan (36, 80)
5 - Reach level 4 renown with all 4 Factions.

I might be forgetting something since I just unlocked this questline a few minutes ago, but this is what I did and I was able to get the Rest at Last questline going. /cheers
