I wasn't able to hit the targets while controlling skyriding myself so I abandoned and chose to just ride along and was able to complete the quest by randomly pressing 1 to shoot the lightning volley on cd. You can get back to the quest start at /way 35 72 on top of the pillar.

If you get disconnected or dismounted mid-quest, to mount the bird again go to /way 35 72

if you have your own mount this will not work. If you dismount and remount on your own mount this will not work. if you dismount you have to go back to beginning of quest and mount their version of the mount.

You must use Shraubendre you choose skyriding option. It passively shoots whenever you use Skyward Accent (aka fly upwards). There will not be an extra ability as there is with the non-skyriding option.

You may have to dismount and reselect Shraubendra (skyriding) after finishing the previous quest to make it work though.

You MUST use the quest mount, Sharaubendre to complete this, you cannot use your own mount.

Your flight style for this quest must be Skyriding. You can talk to Shraubendre, you can choose the Skyriding dialog option, you even can successfully complete the previous quest with steady flight style. But on Steady you won't be able to shoot the aims and gain progress in the current quest.

Description

Dunnae think I had nae noticed those rooks spittin' lightnin'. Sure beats tossin' hammers. But it won't mean nothin' if the Stormriders can't hit what they're fightin'. Let's test their aim. Got some gnomish contraptions here that'll project easy targets for practice. Take Shraubendre back out there an' show them how it's done!
