This NPC can give you the Blade again AFTER you finish all 3 visions and will allow you to redo any quest you did not complete before. Especially the below quest. Some of the other quest may need to be abandoned and re-aquired to finish them. Below is a prime example:

IF you had NOT completed this quest after doing all the 3 visions and turned them in you can get the Blade item from the original NPC in the cave (Tranquil Wash) Wavespeaker Valoren <The Earthen Ring> . She will have an option to "Revisit" the vision. Select it and you will be able to revisit ANY dream/vision.

Now here is a few things you should know:
1) IF YOU HAVE the quest in your log and go to the second vision location and USE the blade and try to swim to the area the quest is located, YOU WILL BE teleported back to the second location and WILL realize your doomed to NOT complete this quest. HOWEVER indeed your not. YOU MUST ABANDON the quest and USE the Blade in that 2nd vision location and swim there in Naga form and omfg guess what.... that's right your not being teleported back to the vision location. You can now REACCEPT the quest and complete it.

2) YOU MUST Abandon quest to be able to swim to the other zone in Naga form.

3) The Zone NPC for the quest is 57/85

4) The Blade Vision location is 29/78

5) The NPC to retrieve the Blade AFTER all visions were completed is: 49/57

6) IF you need to redo any quest the other 2 remaining vision zone coordinates is:
40/75 (First)
29/78 (Second)
33/77 (3rd) - This is up the stairs/ramp in a room and on 2nd Floor directly above the room entrance

Is it just me, or is it impossible to accept her quest, as she disappears in a swirly cloud if you get close, then reappears if you move away....

So confused!

When you;re in the right place she WON'T fade away.
You need to be in the Scalding Chasm, she's in the Nightmare Depths. As soon as you enter those, she fades.
Stay in the Scalding chasm, just on the border, a little left from the red seastar i.e. and you won't have any problems.

Wavespeaker Valoren doesn't appear in Tranquil Wash, i have completed all 3 visions but didn't complete Setting An Example. The other location this NPC is located doesn't have the option for "Revisit" the vision's. Any suggestions ?

So ive been searching for this wavespeaker for about 2 days off and on now. Ive tried pretty much every solution here. ive even gone around the ENTIRE zone spamming a macro to target this Wavespeaker Valoren. NOTHING. I have even downloaded addons (questhelper etc) to try and locate the NPC that way. I have no idea what im doing wrong. Ive completed 139 quests in the zone.Even talked to a GM about this problem who told me exactly the same thing, go find the NPC, get a new blade and youre good to go. BUT NO! Its not there. I offer massive and indefinably large rewards to anyone who can help. Please =)

Wavespeaker Valoren is the Alliance equivalent of Wavespeaker Tulra.

Same for me iv done 137/160 quests and had the Setting an exampel in my log, but i abandoned it, and i cant find the wavespeaker anyware, but i can see him talk inside the Tranquil Wash, but only his words in the chat will show, i cant see him or target him.

seems this is bugged for now ;/

I can't seem to find her. I'm stuck on 138/140 quests, a GM told to do A Powerful Need to Eat and the following quest, but I can't find her to start it.

On a marginal note, her flavor text is not in sync with established Warcraft lore.

She states that her family was killed while she was out practicing shamanism and that it was 'long ago' (literally 'when I was young'). However, shamanism was only introduced to the Draenei after their war against the Orcs by Nobundo, which

a) wasn't 'long ago' (about five years),

b) would not left her wondering who killed her family (Orcs did it)

If your having trouble finding this NPC heres exactly how to find her:

1: Go to Coords (45'57)

2: Drop to the sea floor

3:Look east

4:go into the big cave

BAM! your there :)

Like many others above I did not complete "setting an example quest" before I turned in the vision # 2 quest.

Wavespeaker Tulra (for Horse) at Legions Rest gave me the blade shard when I picked up vision quest #3. This was not until after I completed some other quests that I got from Fizzle on the ledge and turned in the last one to Nazgrim in Legion's rest.

You do not have to complete "setting an example' to do the rest of the quests in the zone.

I have had nothing but "phasing" problems with the "Visions of the Past: The Slaughter ..." stage. After many tickets, I got a GM to admit they had phasing problems (such as a required NPC being nowhere on the zone, although a yellow ? was trying to indicate where he/she was). Send tickets ..... do not be put off when a GM refuses to believe the game is not working perfectly. Keep on until a GM actually suggests a fix. (Why they don't just fix the problem, I don't know .....).

I've just spent an hour and a half combing the area. Went to all the suggested coordinates, cruised up and down and back and forth on all levels. No Wavespeaker Valoren.

I was told by a GM in response to a ticket that Valoren would give me the quests I need to continue in Vash'jir and that Wowhead had information that would help. And it seems as if the information is that we're all stumbling about trying to find an NPC who doesn't show up.

I like the Cataclysm quests a lot but getting them is really hard in some places, particularly this zone and Deepholm. I've just put in another ticket on this Wavespeaker Valoren issue. I had to put in several tickets to get through Deepholm and finally a GM admitted that there were problems with the quests there. Maybe if we persist they'll do something about fixing these things.

What worked for me..

While in Battlemaiden form, I swam to the north east a fair ways. The yellow advisory message came up telling me to turn back as I was leaving the vision area. I ignored it and kept going. A short distance later, I was teleported back to the third vision location in normal form and Wavespeaker Valoren was there. Done.

I went to the turn in point at the Ruins of Vashj'ir and couldn't find her. Went back to Tranquil Wash and I found her for the turn in of the original quest.

My friend got stuck at 6/10 chapters for "Sinking into Vashj'ir" with two quest icons. One in the Abyssal Depths named "Defending the Rift", and one in Shimmering Expanse called "Visions of the Past: The Slaughter of Biel'aran Ridge". Travelling to either of the marked locations on the map did not have any quests available.

After some exploring, we found that Visions of the Past: The Slaughter of Biel'aran Ridge could be continued through Wavespeaker Valoren at: 39.20, 78.63.

We're hoping this leads on to opening up the rest of the quest chapters too.
