Mainly a DPS check. When it splits, you have bubbling soulmass and and miniature soulmass. On plate at a 156 ilevel, Writhing was hitting for 1500-1900, while the other two+ were around 400-700 mostly melee but some shadow abilities as well. Writhing did crit me for 3500 a couple times.

If you are a paladin this would be a time Eye For an Eye is actually useful- but hold it until the split. There is also a general anima talent that grants a fairy ( I think) that will hit anyone that attacks you in melee, this is also helpful. AOE and cleave are good, as well.

With a group with aoe and heals I would think it would be fairly easy. Solo, it depends on the usual rng with anima, your dps and your cooldowns.

Did it with a Holy Priest ilvl 160. I focused the main one down and used CC to avoid the other. Keep trying you will get lucky.

Soloed today on an 154 ilvl BM hunter. I completely ignored the spawns and just kited adds around the perimeter of the circular platform, keep pet up. Took a bit but the the ooze went down and dropped a memory for me.

Torghast is really frustrating, for me at least. On some generated 3rd layers I can't even get halfway through the first floor. But this generated version I somehow managed to get through it with 2 deaths. And the torment on layer 3 that spawns a random assassin if you aren't in combat for a bit is dumb as hell. I got up to take a piss and of course I was dead when I got back.

Just did it on a Ilvl 177 MM hunter, took we few attempts but I got it down. I just completely ignored the spawns, kept running in a circle to kite and I was trying to slow him down as much as possible.

Successfully soloed today with a 159 ilvl BM hunter. The trick in this case was to use 4x Blinding Smoke Capsules from the last vendor so the pet kept all the aggro from the adds and boss but took little damage.

Soloed as 157 Sub Rogue. Had the edge speed buff which was the key. Other buffs were the mawrat health buff and 20 combo point finisher buff.

Key was to unload mass DPS during evasion windows, then kite the rest of the time around the edge of the arena, occasionally hitting echoing reprimand for the 20 combo point finisher. Crimson vial and kite. When evasion is back up, DPS window. Repeat. Ignore the adds, they do nothing for you, just kite them. Shiv if something gets too close, sprint if things get dicey.

Of course, boss dropped nothing.

Thanks Blizz for the excellent tuning of Torghast--cake walk blindfolded through all the levels, then bosses are nearly impossible without massive Torghast only cheese mechanics. Thumbs up.

Solo'd as 161 MM Hunter. Used tar and freezing traps while kiting the adds making sure my pet kept main boss aggro. Used one Blinding Smoke Capsule from the vendor but I'm not sure if it helped or not. Take the fight slow and it's crucial to make sure your pet stays healed.

I was able to solo on a 152 fire mage. I focused on the main bubble. Started out with timewarp, then when there were lots of splits used mirror images and kited the adds. When it was all adds I used flamestrike and arcane explosion. I used blink and the nightfae soulshape on cd. Used all the escape/trap/kite abilities I had. Tough, got it on the 2nd try.

Edit: Did this on my 148 unholy DK. It was stupid easy. I was almost not even fair.

Managed to solo as a 148ilvl bm hunter. Died twice but managed the third time, just kept on moving ignored the adds and focused on the boss. Traps to keep the adds away.

Defeated him finally on my low ilvl Enhancement Shaman.
The trick was indeed to ignore the little divisions and make sure you focus fire the main original one.
Use every tool you have in your kit to hold it down until the last push and use your Earth Elemental and Bloodlust.

I did solo today as 156 WW Monk on a second attempt. Main things that helped:
1. Always focus the main blob with all single-target spells, don't even bother killing anything else or cleaving.
2. Roll/Blink away when blobs explode.
3. You can CC and kite secondary blobs so they don't all chase you and explode at the same time.
4. Postpone using cooldowns as long as you can. The most difficult part is to burn down the last third/quarter of HP. Saving touch if karma for that time is mandatory.

Just killed him as a lvl 147 Vengeance DH. No deaths. Not terribly difficult - Veng DH have many AOE abilities. I selected several health and healing abilities along the way and always used the DH healing abilities when possible. Didn't move around much. Also got lucky and got my first memory.

Soloed as a 147 Shadow Priest, got lucky with some anima powers.

Anima Powers:
-Power Overwhelming allowed for me to get over 3000 dps on him, I usually average under 2000.
-Volatile Phantasm was great to leave a distraction and get some distance.
-Negation Well was super fun to use, really helped get some distance although I jumped off the ledge first fight...oops.
-Wailing Visage kept the fear up longer to keep his adds away

Fight Strat:
Opened with mindbender -> shadow word pain -> vampiric touch -> power infusion -> void eruption

Right when he was about to start hitting me I used mind games and then alternated instacast mindblasts with devouring plague. Once the buffs started to fade and I took damage I psychic screamed. Re-upped my dots and continued dps rotation, never changed targets from main mass, just completely ignored the adds. When he got back on me, I used Fade with Volatile Phantasm, got some distance while he beat up the illusion. Re-upped dots and by this time my CDs were back so I opened up with the initial rotation and finished him off. The only danger I was ever in was from myself and jumping off the ledge, ended fight at full hp, never went below 70%

Wasn't sure I was going to make it on a 147 Windwalker. I was fortunate to have picked up an anima power that increased movement speed while on the edge of a room and also some additional ones to reduce key cooldowns (one for all CDs, a couple just for Touch of Death, and another for Touch of Karma). It still took a few tries to get it and the Fleshcraft ability (Necrolords) rotated in with Touch of Karma and Fortifying Brew was literally a life saver. Moving out of range of those AoEs was essential, and having Leg Sweep to stun those little versions of the boss for when I had to fight.

More or less, a lot of luck with the anima powers made it possible :P

Just barely soloed it on a 166 Fire Mage. As a squishy class like this, taking down the adds is imperative.

Bear in mind that this fight will take a while, so at floors 3 and above, it'll eventually get CC resistance, so Frost Nova is out of the question. Play defensively in the first half of the fight, and save your cooldowns for when it starts shrugging off your novas and burn him down as hard as you possibly can.

Just killed him on a third try as a destro warlock (ilvl 155). The key is to keep the voidwalker healed up and ignore all the summoned slimes. Be careful not to pull aggro yourself as well. I basically just kept Immolate up on the boss + threw in conflagrate, incinerate, and chaos bolt when possible, and held off on Summon Infernal until the final 10%.

Soloed as ilevel 152 feral at Layer 3. The key was ignoring the adds and staying on the Writhing Soulmass after the split. Still, it took a while to burn through 385K hp. Kept Rip up with Ferocious Bite, followed by instant Regrowth to keep my hp topped off. As far as anima powers, it was actually a pretty unlucky run this time. The only significant one I had was a 50% buff to Convoke the Spirits, which I only got to use once due to long cooldown.

Assassination rogue, slow but safe method is to build combo points from Poisoned Knife and dip in to drop Ruptures. After the split, fan of knives for combos and kiting more and more splits and still dip in between the aoes to drop Ruptures.

One shot, easy.

Was able to solo this as an arcane mage, but only because of Runecloth Wrappings. I'm sure some of my other buffs were helpful but none as much as this. Cast order as below:

Presence of Mind (to get those Arcane Blast 3 in a row while the invis debuff is still up.)
Touch of the Magi on the boss to get 4 Arcane charges, then quickly:
Greater Invisibility to drop aggro/reset boss (and invis cooldown, in case you mess up) and get ready to spam 3 of the deadliest Arcane Blast you've ever cast
Arcane Blast x 3. If you do this right, they should all happen with the Greater Invis Debuff up, meaning they all get 2000% buffs. That's 60 arcane blast casts in 3 instacasts!
Pop ya cooldowns (Mirror Image especially) and burn that sucker down if he's got any life left.

TBH if you didn't get Runecloth Wrappings, let's hope you're geared to the teeth.

Cheesed it with Scales of Trauma. I can imagine this will work for most end bosses. Spam Flash heal or Heal until Holy Fire is off cooldown, it hits like a truck. Reapply pain. Rinse and repeat.

Easily solo'd as 160 Affliction Warlock. Voidwalker keeps aggro on all slimes, while I DoT and AoE them all down. Like squishing Jello with your toes.

Impossible to do as UH DK... Quite well geared but can't hit 50%... can't kite and outrun mobbs becouse that radious is huge. No items to buy to help me it seems this week from vendor. And I have to do this in order to not fall behind the rest of the playerbase... Once again blizzard just *!@#s people over with forced content.

I'm thinking that most of the people that are soloing this boss are doing so in Layers 1 and 2, where it's a lot more manageable. A friend and I weren't able to two-man the thing in Layer 3 even though we're two of the class-specs that have apparently one-manned it (a frost DK and a BM hunter). With that stacking debuff bosses and elites get in Layers 3 and above, it's way too strong to do without a full dungeon group. You need a healer to overcome the intense amount of damage it gets as the fight goes on, and more DPS to burn it's HP down faster so that it's damage doesn't get so severe.

Soloed as a 141 Prot Paladin, on Layer 3. Had 4x stacked Divine Toll CD reduction Anima Power, for 20s silence on 5 targets, which helped. Still, key was kiting at some point, with consecration slow and some Divine Steed. Some damage got through, but WoG and CDs were sufficient to survive. I kited until the small adds died from consecration and assorted ranged damage, then finished the boss.

Solo'd as a 140 Balance druid (Layer 2, floor 6), he's a real pain but if you interupt as much as possible, heal constantly and try to keep running away you MIGHT survive...

Duo'd it with a restoration druid, but honestly if I wasn't an outlaw rogue I think we might have been in trouble. As it was, we both had Edgelurker, which helped us immensely in keeping kiting up, but by the time we killed him he had a solid 30 stacks and about 75% of my damage on him was pistol shot. I wish I was joking.

This was only layer 2, floor 6. I was 149 ilvl, the druid was 155.

The resto druid had control of the adds, I worked the main boss. It was nasty, it was long, I definitely should have been treated to dinner first by this boss, but we managed it. I'm not sure I would have been able to without the druid soaking the extra attention.

I enjoyed every second of it, though. Haven't had that much fun since the green fire questline.

What a joke this is. Reminds me of early Diablo 3 with the difficulty alterations being absolutely ^&*!@#-ridiculous. I soloed everything as a BM hunter, with not a single death, up to level 6 and now this boss is just dog &*!@ difficult. What a fun expansion you've made Blizzard.

Got this damn thing at Thorgahst 7 - And damn was he a pain, but got him down, using the kite method here aswell. Ignored adds completely and just ran around the edge and focused him down, when i finished i realized i forgot to pop heroism and some other stuff, didnt need potions or anything else like that.

Barely beat it as Protection Paladin on Layer 8 (190 ilvl - no legendaries). You have to kill the adds. Save all of your CDs until boss is at 66% and 33% and destroy the spawned adds as fast as possible - prioritizing the bubbling soulmasses, then the miniature soulmasses . You cannot run. The boss will be immune to CCs and is stupid fast. It is better to stay in consecration. After the first add group is dead, slow down dps on the boss so that you have everything for the 2nd add spawn at 33%. After the 2nd group of adds are dead, use Blessing of protection since the boss will start hitting like a truck. Do not try the "just focus boss" strategy for layer 8 as you will get destroyed, trust me.

As a Paly Tank, ilvl166, tower lvl 6. Made it solo at 5th attempt..

He splits in 3 medium blobs then all 3 splits again tio 3 mini blobs, do basic melee dps and each miniblob do a hurting aoe.

My dps si quite weak so here is how i did it:
So, at first split, make sure to focus one of the non elite blob, take it down slowly, when its splits again, burst teh 3 mini bols and use protection CD.
repeat with 2nd non elite medium blob and his 3 mini blobs.

Now that all adds are gone, focus thr elite blob and burn it as fast as possible using heal boosts and protection cd.

The idea is tu use DPS boosts when the mini bob appears because all their joint AOE are really bad.

Soloed on a Boomkin, 190 ilvl, Layer 7. This boss was a pain, especially without good anima powers. Took me a couple of deaths to figure out the strat. Here is what I did:

1. Make sure you have Force of Nature, Mass Entangle, Ursol's (Resto Affinity) AND Stellar Drift.
2. At start, root, and Wrath until you have you have full AP.
3. Root again (the boss builds up immunity to CC as fight progresses, so use cc early).
4. Pop Starfall, start kiting and pop all cooldowns. Blast as hard as you can, ignore adds, stay on Golden Dragon boss the whole time.
5. Keep Starfall up and kite around the room. Don't fall off the edge!
6. When adds begin to catch up begin using defensives: Ursol's, FoN, Typhoon, Mass Entangle.
7. Boss should be dead by the time you complete two revolutions around the circular boss room.

Beat this blob on skoldus layer 7, boss had around 660k health, I'm a 188ilvl BM was using Rylak lego, but also had the embers power from anima orbs.

I beat him fairly easily, but it was because of some key powers.

First I had Forsworn Feather and maxed it to 30 so ended up with 228% speed

You can find out your speed by using this macro:
/script base = BASE_MOVEMENT_SPEED
/script cur, run, fly, swim = GetUnitSpeed("player")
/script ChatFrame1:AddMessage(string.format("Your current maximal speeds are: running %g%%, flying %g%%, swimming %g%%.", run/base*100, fly/base*100, swim/base*100))

Second I had the two tar trap powers, one that incrases radius 100% the other that increases snare 15%

With the speed and throwing down tar traps on cooldown the adds couldnt get to me before my pets regained aggro.

I used mend pet on cooldown with a clefthoof for the leech

Kept circling around before the adds got out of the tar and just dps'd the boss down while aoe'ing the adds by throwing in a Multi-Shot every so often and using the embers power for which I have a on cursor targeting macro.

Everyone who says they can do this content, is either a hunter, or doing it at low levels and saying "oh yeah i killed that guy as outlaw." yeah no, you didnt. You burned the boss down at a stupid low level.

nice expansion Blizzard. No wonder there are hunters running around all over the place. beause they are the ones who can cheese content like this. Just check out every single boss kill in Tower. Every one of them say "well its not bad, I'm a BM hunter and i did yada yada yada." Or "I'm a shaman and i used my rock elemental and yadda yadda"

Just beat on my frost DK (187 ilvl) on layer 5 floor 6.

Was a bit worried after reading all the comments here, but didn't go below 50% hp.

The big bad boi splits at 66% and again at 33%. The mini slimes then split again.
Save your cooldowns for the splits and focus the mini slimes.
The only danger here is that for every slime that is alive, they each do an AOE.
Not bad with just 1 up but it could be a problem if 6 are alive.

163 Assassin Rogue. Could not complete this on level 3. Did not have the edge speed increase anima buff and could not kite effectively. Not enough defensive utility to survive in melee after 90 seconds. Best attempt was ~40k hp left.

Fury warrior 185 this guy went down pretty easy. Had lots of good health buffs and over 100k health with the roots anima + 17 souls with 2% each. Enraged regen was 35 seconds long. I took down the adds when they came out. Layer 8. I'm finding the health anima makes a huge difference on the fury warrior since we have so many ways to heal. Bloodthirst, enraged regen buff and then any other powers. All adds up!

Just a reminder here that people are not taking into consideration a mechanic that applies to all elites and bosses starting with layer 3.

They get a stacking buff that increases their damage and run speed every 10 seconds. you basically have 1:30 to kill them before they are doing double damage to you and can't be cc'd. it continues to stack after that - there is no stack limit.

this is why some bosses are harder than others after layer 3, and why prot paladins have an edge with their respectable damage and multiple immunities.

Oh my God this was hard. Layer 4, have had no issues at all the entire time with my frost mage (only 166ilvl). Got to this guy and he almost wasted the entire time I spent in here. The anima powers that helped me the most were the one that reduces cd on frost nova, the one that reduces cd on frostbolt, anything increasing haste and speed, or max health. I also had "Gnarled Key" that made door of shadows practically instant which helped me A LOT. Anything increasing blinks or reducing cd on blink would be good. I set the main blob as "focus" right before so I wouldn't get mixed up during the fight. I used Mirror image on cd twice during the fight, it was pretty much the only reason I survived in the end. Alter time is handy too if you use it strategically. I used time warp right at the beginning. Honestly I thought I was going to leave empty handed.

Man this boss was a pain in the arse at Layer 7!

BM Hunter ilevel 158 using a clefthoof pet and it was hard...real hard! Mind you I picked up terrible powers throughout, but RNG powers shouldn't dictate how I'm going to do on the last boss (c'mon blizzard). Honestly, I'm not sure how some classes are getting through this without picking up real good powers on floors - even then?

All that work in Tourghast for a few measly soul ashes?

Maybe its just me but even on my other characters I've had to switch to a tanking spec to make it through most content in shadowlands; there's just so much AOE needed for mobs. The "Beastwarrens" area of the maw is crazy ridiculous - even as a hunter I quickly get overwhelmed from other mobs.

Of all the classes I play, Druid Guardian has been the easiest to run open world,Tourghast, and maw content. Takes a bit longer to kill single mobs but I just gather a bunch and burn them down.

I suppose if I was in a guild or with a group of friends then most content in shadowlands would be much easier...but hell, I don't like people! I keep hearing that shadowlands is solo friendly but not in my experience.

update - Layer 8 with this boss. For Hunters this worked for me - same ilevel and pet as stated above. After 3 attempts of constantly dieing...grrr...I changed strategies on my last try. I focused on the miniature blobs when they came, and took my time burning them down one-by-one until there were no more left, then focused on the boss again. Previously I was just focusing on the boss and launching tar traps to keep the small blobs next to my pet but eventually I couldn't keep up the heals on my pet when all the blobs were out. In case anyone cares, my DPS was averaging about 4k and when popping all my cooldowns I got up to around 6k.

I ignored the adds, didn't move except to side step into one of the 3 heal orbs from time to time. Kept pet healed. Used the buff that grants more damage when you use Misdirection on your pet, along with whatever else I picked up along the way and/or bought from the vendor, and food. But basically I just dps'ed the boss, ignored everything else, and healed myself and the pet until it was dead. Probably took about a minute tops.

I got Memory of Poisonous Injectors.

Outlaw rogue ilvl 150. Had no useful anima powers but killed it by kiting it around the edge of the arena and spamming pistol shot. Ignore the adds that spawn, the one with the gold dragon icon is the only one that matters. Took forever, but it works.

I made it to lvl 7.6 when I came to that P>O>S soul mass.. All that work to be scewed over by a blob..Oncee I had it half way I was fine till it split then screwed..I died then looked it up..The only real advice I got was smoke bombs and hit the real one..Time and time again some people forget some of use have only been playing WoW for a grand total of 4 months..Which is the real one ? I am guessing the one that all rdy has damge to it ? So anyways I am a shadow priest 172..I guess I wll keep trying..I noticed that not every time the same boss is on that floor so maybe the next time I make it that high again that thing wont be their..

This boss is all fing RNG. Get crap powers and you waste an hr unless you have a pet tank. Ret 169. Easy mode layer 8 on my 176 BM hunter.

Layer 1, 145 protection warrior, for the quest Runecarver's Memory. Tank & spank. Only kind of useful anima power was Notched Axe Head, which allows one self to heal during combat, used that maybe 2 times. Ignored the adds, just kept on the main. Your AOE will kill some adds, but damage is manageable. Good luck!

Did him last Saturday, naked with ilev 25 on Hunter MM........ thanks to all who complained about Torghast and made Blizzard to nerf it so badly that it became a joke... they don't even realize but they just destroyed best part of Shadowlands...

If you guys look in below posts and notice that actually every post saying that they finish it without too much trouble is down voted.... why? Is it just a fashion now to down vote posts from people who know how to play?

Got this boss at twisting corridor layer 1 floor 18, 2200k health. as a solo healer I failed to rush it down, best record was at 17%. Maybe should have gone dps spec, but blizzard decided not to let us change spec once we engaged, so, thanks blizz.

I got this boss in the Twisting Corridor layer 2 with a whopping 4 million hp. Couldn´t get him down to more than 30%.
I´m a retri pala. Sadly spent over 3h without getting to the next layer. :-(

Ok I did it again a few hours later. Unfortunately I got the same boss. The last boss on floor 18 you can already get a glimpse of at the anima power seller on floor 15 (or floor 3 if not in Twisting corridor). There is a small hologram of the boss beside the anima power seller.
This time I got better anima powers and could nuke him down.

Im not sure how to do this, ilvl 190 prot pally and he smears me across the floor, over and over. The unnatural power buff he gets just mows me over. i can hold it off till about 11 or 12 stacks than he one shots me.

just some FYI got it as a floor boss on floor 18 of twisting corridor, the damn thing has 3.1 million hp

Layer 8 floor 18, boss had 10M ah and hit for 90k, each add also hit for 90k melle, if you get this boss at the end of your run and cant deal with 8 adds around the end of the fight doing 80k each, might as well restart. DH avoided all damage until one bad luck catch got me and they 1 shot me. Love waisting 2 hours to blizz

So freaking disappointing to get all the way to Floor 18 and get this stupid blob that is insanely hard to kill. I thought the first 2 bosses in this Twisting Corridors were the hard ones and I was going to get off easy, nope! Got this dude an his blobs that went through 5 deaths and no kill. 18 FLOORS! I kited, I misdirected, but they are too powerful and kept killing my pet, I turtle revive, but then CDs get the best of you and your $!$@!#@. I got him down to 14%. Couldnt do any more than that. Seriously wasted hours to get nothing. Now I can understand how others feel. This is the first torghast I have actually hit my DIE cap.

completed this boss floor 18 layer 1, BM hunter ilvl 190. a died a couple of times due to the blobs overwhelming me in the end.
A strategy that finally worked (but it was very very close) is to trap the adds and boss and have the tar trap animas that slow it down a lot. this way you can hover around the boss and adds which can't hurt you. keep reviving the pet cause in the end he will die constantly.it will give you time because of the traps laying around. good luck cause this is one tough boss

Just spent 4 hours of my life in this as Ret Pally. Had 6 epic upgrades too...didn't matter still lost 3 times to it. Had heal pots, Selfless Healer AND Healing Hands, Sanctified Wrath AND Crusade. Kiting it all over using Blinding Light for stuns...was just killing myself the whole time. Everytime I laid into it I was near death. Ilvl 175 also. No clue what I did wrong, rest of the tower was a breeze till this guy.

Edit: This was during the In search of the Lion quest to find Anduin. Layer 1 - 10th floor I think it was.

If you get this garbage on a feral druid just restart. You can't kite them enough even with the 60% edge speed buff increase. Once the adds spawn after 50% you'll get slowed and melted while trying to shapeshift and blow every cool down you have to die in 5 seconds.

Eat ass Blizzard. Torghast is the biggest waste of time with the least reward this game has offered yet. I'll be rocking 190's indefinitely because I'm sick of rolling the dice and wasting hours on this #$%^.

Its possible to solo this with a firemage at 186 on layer 7, but it wasnt easy for me. I activated every CD at the beginning.

- Use "(Alter Time)" whenever you know damage is incoming and you cant avoid it. Your health will be reset to your starting time of the skill.
- ignore the adds, focus the boss
- when the mirror images cd is up again, they will instantly die, so dont count on them tanking for you again like in the beginning
- you have to kite the boss and the adds by teleporting, using dragonsbreath and your frostnovas.
- i have the spec, where you gain a shield when teleporting. which boosts your survival
- i had 3 health bubbles for the fight, so I advise for defensiv spells you can collect during the run.

Well, I guess if you have myth or heroic gear the fight will be a lot easier and youll probably will have such a high burst, that even lvl 8 isnt a challenge.

Layer 7... he melees for 5K , I got no chance at all as a WW , even with the ability where you turn into the other dude. Just can not keep myself up through his melee

Layer 8 Floor 18 20,8M HP

Did it first try :
DPS : 114k warlock (4 tyrant at a time) - 16k pal
Pal wyped 6 times, lock pet 1 time when it was only 300k hp left, still managed to do it

Used 3 ravenous anima cells on the add, it works great !

There's new facts you need to follow for this boss. Weather you're doing twisting corridor or regular ones, this boss could be lethal or face roll. I have met this only once and that too on twisting corridor layer 8's final boss. It had 9.6m HP. So here's some tips you can follow.

1) This is an AOE fight. I know there's plenty of comments here saying focusing the main boss, but the add it spawns also shares health. So unload your AoE when there's 2-3 copies of it. But don't forget to use BL/TW/Drums at the beginning because the more time you'll take the more stacks it'll have

2) Key component of this fight is to root the adds, as they not only share HP with the main blob but they are exact clone of the boss. Boss hits for 90k melee at 18th floor of layer 8, so does it adds. So try to root/slow them down.

3) Pet/Tank classes can cheese this fight. So if you have a tank spec then don't hesitate to switch because you can easily prolong the fight as a tank. But couldn't as a dps if you don't have enough HP/self heal/roots.

4) Try to interrupt the boss all the time, that's the main lethal part of this fight

5) If you're a hunter then use a tenacity pet here. Because when add spawns pets will die quickly regardless of your heal from the leech. BM hunters are exception here who can still use a fero pet without any problem "if" you have enough anima powers boosting your kill command.

6) This fight also requires tons of HP and self heal. So grab everything you can against it. Boss hit doesn't scale with your hp so more health helps you survive here.

7) Lastly, although you can prolong this fight but you can also burst it down pretty quickly. But remember to keep the adds away, if you got enough roots/slow then go for the burst. But try to burst only in twisting corridors as you'll have enough anima powers out there. For the regular runs, try to play safe.

8) Bonus: Smoke Capsules are true blessing here but that doesn't mean its a must. But will make your run smoother.

Finally found it today in Fracture Chambers (layer 8). Contrary to what some guides say, I don't think Writhing Soulmass is in Skoldus Hall anymore (farm those for days in all difficulties)

This boss is beyond toxic. Found it today on twisting corridors layer 2 - Even as 255 geared feral druid, having stealhed/stormed through all the other floors this was a road block. Hes not "tankable", crits me for 40k, and he hits fast. RIP...4 million HP too. Wanted to get started on this piece of *!@# content but clearly Im not geared enough to roflstomp it....
