I tend to be a plate wearing tank or dps. Usually a paladin or knight type with sword and board if available. Dual wielding barbarian type will due in a pinch.
Healer, pretty much all the time tbh. The squishier, the better!
When it comes to single player RPGs I've always preferred melee type characters. I want to go in there and just bash some skulls, without having to be stealthy. In games like WoW where we can heal, I almost always play a healer of some type though. I have lots of fun healing people, especially my friends.
Skill wielders are my preference. Most of the time that translates to rogues, but the occasional caster pops up.

I dont have a "favorite" class, per se. I like to play betas, if possible, to get a feel for whats available. Release day choice is usually not a pre-planned event, however; I go with the gut feeling for what I roll as my first toon. Tank, mele, caster... I like them all.
I play warrior type classes usually. Love swinging around large weapons and being versatile/mobile, etc.
I usually play some sort of Rogue/Thief, or Ranger type class. Though I have been branching out to spellcasters lately :)
I usually play the rogue or archer type class in RPGs.
Creator of spawn + creator of Drizzt series= auto epic win! i generally play melee with high aoe and good defenses. Whirling Slayer barbarians in DnD..combat rogues and fury warriors in WoW. (though i currently have 85's of every class in WoW..lol)
Whenever it's an option, I always make a paladin character. There's something about the noble warrior built for battling the blackest of evils that class appealing to me. Been playing then ever since I got my hands on my first copy of the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons books.
My go-to is a healer, I enjoy the support roles. After that, my preference goes to a caster. Half for the spell effects, half for the BIG BOOM!But after a Kung Fu comics binge, I've been wanting to get my hands on a Monk! Luckily there's a few options for that coming soon!
I always play a warrior type on my first run through any fantasy RPG or fantasy game with classes in general. There's just something about mashing things in the face :)
I don't have one type I always go to, I always switch depending on what I feel like playing. And usually I end up trying everything to see what feels best in the game I currently play and then decide what I will continue to play.
I always love using the rogue or hunter classes in games but somehow I always end up being a better tank so I end up with that even if I dont like it as much
I usally go for anything close to Ranger.Pref a bow user, but main thing is pickpocketing and lockpicking. But i do try to be lawful, but i guess opening every chest in a game, generally make you a bit more....neutral =)
Usually a Straight Warrior Boss; With a twist of sneak thrown in with Dual-Wield swords..! Although, on WoW, it's a Shaman..!
I usually tend to go with the Sword and Board classes in RPG's tanks, or damage dealersthe typical *knight in shining armour* /flex
