Drizzlingrose ruining markets, Make Garrisons Great Again! LUL
The advice from Reckles aka WTBGold is bad for a couple reasons:
All the AH stuff area good but you guys forget about the 'market' issue. Even for 'still-vendorable' bags. I bet the Bag and Card seller is on a very high pop server, to make 1.3m gold a month from only those 2. People buy bags and forget about them, only untill they get other alts. And if she's doing that with 46 characters, what if more and more people, with, lets say 4, starts doing the same? I mean, if people stop buying stuff they CAN make themselves, and those bags are easy to do, for themselves... It all comes to what the market 'is asking' and that and other researches take some time.
46 alts ....
Ain't Nobody Got Time for That
46 alts...good lord, lol.
There's some strange logic in the video though.1. Why they don't craft itIf you are a high end raider and your crafted item is your BiS you will already have crafted it. There might be some cases where you get a really powerful corruption on say your belt or pants and you don't craft it, though even in those cases they probably crafted it anyway to have an item set with the corruption, and an item set without the corruption.2. Why no one wants to craft itSecondly, we're four months in, progression is basically over. Sure scrubs like me are still progressing, but there's no race anymore, not for world first, server first or hall of fame. And anyone of those with deep pockets and high raid scores are already preparing for shadowlands, and won't waste their gold when they are already 12/12 M.3. Weird hunter logic Thirdly the example with the hunter who only had *!@# corruptions after four months and decided to spend his hard earned echoes on some mediocre corruption. Did not only sound unrealistic (it's a four week rotation, obviously he's going to save his echoes) but also had nothing to do with crafted gear or mats, since once he buys his infinite stars he's going to put it on the previous item and override the previous corruption, he is not going to craft a new item so he can keep his ^&*! corruption in his bags. There's some merit to his strategy though, but in my opinion not because the reasons he mentioned. 1. Why they craft it.People might craft a second BiS item, for example run two belts, because now they can put TD3 on one and IS3 on one, while at the start they of the patch they only needed one crafted belt, there's now a reason to have two.2. Who will craft it.While the races and progression is mostly over, the M+ scene, PvP scene and people who are chasing 100 % logs are still out there competing every day, and could be interested in spending some gold to give themselves an edge over the competition.3. Weird hunter logicIs still weird.
Oh no! My secret about garrisons is out! LOL Yeah, I've got just about as many alts as that. I've been doing much of this since WOD too. I never did the math to figure out how much gold I was making, but I knew I was getting a token every month, plus extra. It wasn't until BFA that I got this many to max level, but I know I had over 20 max level alts already in Legion. And yeah, it was a bunch of DK's, because of the higher starting level. Glad someone did the math though to finally figure out how much is being made! I've had TSM Auction available for several years, but just never looked at how much. BTW ... I'm on Argent Dawn and The Scryers - NA, med pop servers. Hexweave Bags are still selling, though not as much as they used to. Someone resets the market normally on the weekends to make it profitable again. And for Pete's sake ... I was never crazy enough to farm my sumptuous fur with the barn. It's boring enough. The jokes about it being Farmville are pretty accurate. I just wait until the fur can be bought for 16 or 20 garrison resources, and do it that way.
bag prices have been dropping slowly over the last couple of months.Handy for alts but not making as much from Garrisons these daysGlider kits and speed potions still sell but price is pretty low, free to make at least for the materialsAt least managed to pay for Shadowlands with tokens, 5 mill for mount is to much for me to want to try, would rather use the gold for tokens and enjoy playing.
I have been making Hexweave Bags on a couple of characters since WoD and I can confirm that they are easy to make and not time consuming at all, and have continued to sell well in BfA, though prices have been more up and down than previously. I don't have an Inscriptionist or a high enough level Alchemist to take advantage of the Sorcerous Earth transmute or the Card of Omen vendoring, but the idea is interesting and doubtless worth the time investment if you want to dabble with it.With established Garrisons with high level Followers with the bonus to Resource gains, you can easily be more than self-sufficient. I buy all my fur at the Trading Post when the price is cheap, and I pick the Flytraps from my herb garden. Then, when the herb trader is up, I can trade in all my excess herbs and shuffle them into Sorcerous Earth with the Vendor (since I don't have an Alchemist to do the Transmute). In short, I basically spend no money, so it's only the time involved in using the Garrison Hearthstone, 30 seconds flipping missions with Garrison Commander, a minute or so gathering herbs, another minute refreshing Work Orders, and then a minute or two more once every week to 10 days when the right vendors are up. So 3-5 minutes per character. I have 3 that can do this, and I don't get around to it every day, but since the Work Orders go for several days anyways it's not a big deal. With so many people leveling alts, they always want bags, so the demand has stayed fairly steady. Prices have naturally fallen since the start of the expansion, but if you watch the market you can take advantage of when prices are higher and I've never had more than 8-10 on hand at any one time before being able to unload most of not all of my stock at a good price.
