doesnt surprise me.started playing WoW the first time after long pause cuz of work.. entered the zaralek cave and saw only mining bots flying and bugging in the air to the nearest node.it does not really surprise me the Token went up that high, materials low in price..
This always happens during content droughts. People spend money at the start of the season to get their gear up-to-date and do the content they want, so they sell tokens to get that gold to spend. Once that's done, they leave. Meanwhile, the people that pay with tokens don't usually stop buying monthly gametime with gold, so the price is always going up.
Why not just put an artificial gold cap on the token?
Oof. Looks like I chose the right time to start final fantasy.
15 bucks is what a token gives right? 100k is the max 15 bucks is worth the token should stay at 100k instead of being the reason the market keeps being scuffed its a game i dont want to deal with market issues in a game
mate do you want the uno reverse card? ^^currency has always been a mess, but in wow there are even more factors that irlmany centuries ago a really rich southern ruler went on a pilgrimage to Mecca and... well basically threw gold on the streets (Mansa Musa)silver became as valuable as ash and egypt's economy died. xd at least he somewhat fixed his mistake... but that didn't stop the country from falling in a 10y recessionsee, gacha games are sustained by "dolphins" and "whales": people who spend a bit (or tons) of moneyDF, unlike bfa and sl doesn't have a gold sink and crafting is fairly cheap; also boes are not as significant as agoalso the game is really a mess now (saying this as player ranking SL second after pandaria!), so... why would you focus on being cool when it ain't matter :?funny enough, boosters did a LOT to keep gold "desired" :dthen you have the people who do pay for the game with tokens:the social profile of people who play mmos (yes ik it's rude sorry)irl's economy too (but gold is really not much of an issue if you know how to get it)also with time, there are more people who realize they can "cheat" the system (and less new players who don't know how yet, i mean come on the ad of the expansion was a flying mount xd)oh and chaining blizzcon/d4/wotlk/etc ofclastly, we have the complete lack of control by blizzard; botted gold that went in the economy and the nope of hiring 20 gms (or players) to exterminate the little pests, before they lay eggsthere is something about "hoarding" gold; 2 years ago one of the major real-money boosting communities was purged and billions of gold with it - and the token's g fell by about 40%, the formula is not purely based on demand and supplybut after you get banned, amm... you know, you kind of stop caring about all this ;d
Wish they hardcap tokens to 200k. It really doesn't need to be any higher than that.
I've never seen so many bots in wow before than in this expac. They don't have any kind of handle on it in US. I'll get mail from them saying that I helped them to ban some but it's not making a difference.
