Was like this long time ago, then ppl got banned cause Blizzard didnt like Cloud streaming and it got removed :D
Well this is something I was expecting given Blizzard history with Cloud services.
I wonder what the lag for inputs is compared to normal
GeForce now is how I play most of my steam library and even Xbox gamepass on PC, the crazy part to me is it feels like WoW actually runs worse on GeForce, 1200x800 resolution (not changeable) and graphic settings are set to 3 out of 10, but ultra on everything runs just fine, though as I type that it may have copied my settings from my PC... So YMMV
finally wow on my Quest 3 :D
Can I play my current account on this or do i need to make a new wow account or how does that work
Doesn't seem like you can use addons for WoW on GeForce Now which means it's not really a great solution for a lot of people unfortunately.
Soon Steam hopefully?
Nobody uses Geforce NOW. Steam and Xbox Gamepass? Yes.
"According to release support article, Addons are not currently supported when playing WoW on Geforce NOW so players will have to play the game 'au naturel' with the base UI, but it is being investigated for future updates"haha, then NO thanks.
Posting my experience with it using the free version of GeForce NOW:I currently use a laptop that has a GTX 3060 mobile, it being a not high spec laptop makes it so group encounters i experience heavy fps losses which is why i was excited to try this, just a fyi.So the experience is smooth all in all, the free version gives you a GTX 1060(1080? they look similar sorry) and the playing experience is smooth, input lag is not noticable on my (*You may experience bad performance*-GeForce NOW startup warning) around 10-15mbps wireless internet.Pros:Easy of access - Can login to your battle.net account and get right to it on most devicesNo noticable input lag - I couldnt notice a difference between playing natively and using GeForce NOWFree option(1 hour sessions) - This is great if your going on a trip and just want to quickly do your dailies or log on and chat with guildies for an hourCons:No addon support(YET!) - there was an article, not sure if it was on wowhead or an external site that claimed addon support was coming to GeForce.Queue times - For the free version you have to wait for a rig to become available, plus you need to watch ads they display while you wait. Which can be up to a 30 minute wait.Price - If you play more than just WoW(GeForce supports games from Epic, Steam, Ubisoft & Xbox game pass) you could justify the price, but if, like me you only have time for WoW its probably not something you should spend money on.I'm no expert and have only tried it for 3, 1 hour sessions so far but my experience has been positive. :)
Enjoy Lag :(
Tried the free session, took almost a minute to load Valdrakken with the maxed out graphics. Also, without addons is a deal-breaker.
No addons, so its great only for playing Plunderstorm on TV and gamepad, but plunderstorm is no more unfortunately XD
So does this mean Blizzard have changed the ToS and allowed streaming WoW through your own cloud services like Parsec?
k people free version's graphics are at #5, there is no input lag, you can spam free sessions all day (100% teyvat's entire map xd) esp in the morning, the one downside for us is we can't realistically raid (unless graced by the glead)queue times atm are really low, however this changes to the entire day when something cool releases (ie baldur's gate iii) and, naturally, on sat eveningsand i play without addon ever, don't be too scared :pit's a really good option for people without proper pcs but... the 1h limits you too much :(
