This is the result when Blizzard designs raids to overcome add ons. It'll be a slow spiral of death for wow. Blizzard designs stressful fights, which inspires add on makers to find ways to make it those fights easier to execute, which has Blizzard designing even more difficult fights.I'm the raid lead for my team and have been for 11 years. I heal by pure instinct at this point, but I haven't been able to effectively call mechanics and heads up for most of this expansion. I'm just a secondary reminder bot for DBM notifications.
That's sad, but understandable. I couldn't imagine how it must feel being in their shoes. I love to raid and sadly I'm on a very small server with limited players wanting to raid, let alone good. I am the guild leader of my guild. It is difficult to satisfy a guild as a whole, let alone try to find a time that is good for everyone. Sometimes you have to just move on. Currently I rely on one person to pull together the pug and the same person, plus one additional, to help provide instruction. We're small, but we manage. Maybe someday things will change, and we have 20+ players consistently wanting to raid within my small guild.I wish everyone who currently raids, and those who want to raid, the best of luck. Keep your chin up and remember to take time for yourself. Continue to pug, if you must... and remember that those small guilds on those small servers just may contain some awesome players.
The one time I tuned into their RWF stream they were flaming each other, that definitely did not sound like fun.
i feel like this has been the case for the entire game in the recent expacs ... things have only gotten more complicated and more "time investment" heavy ... from mythic raiding to achievements to collections ... almost every single aspect of the game has reached a point of "more more more" and yet adding that more more more, means burning people out and thats whats happening .... the more mechanics the higher difficulty (b.c we cant have it be too easy for the best players around)... its not an easy toll to cope with and after 12 years enough is enough ... more power to these guys and i wish them the best tbh
Raids aren't designed with a race to completion in mind, so burnout, difficulty in planning etc are just not relevant complaints. If it's too hot then get out of the kitchen
LUL@ ppl blaming Blizzard for a community event, no one is to blame ppl get old and irl hits hard sometimes some folks get burnt out and decide they wanna try something new or sit back and relax, I mean 12 years this is alot n no ones fault not Blizzard or the RWF players cause smetimes fatigue gets you aswell as age n time and right time it was just their time.
this will always be a problem. The top two guilds are so far ahead of everyone else and they all basically stream for a living to allow them to do this. Plus name recognition gives another huge advantage. There is zero chance another guild can compete.
do people think being the best at a game doesnt require sacrifice and lots of hours daily or something? if they were rank 1 world they wouldnt be disbanding, they have just lost the will because they never win. top players in any game grind hours and hours
"To Echo and Liquid I hope you kill it and bring the wow scene to new and greater heights.Luml"You forget to mention Method! Oh wait nm.
Remove the real world profit making and RWF looks very very different.
Just one month after joining SK? why join SK at all? Either something happened or i dunno...
it's almost like the RWF is unhealthy and shouldn't be celebrated or promoted as a playstyle that people should aspire to be like.Spoiler: It's not and shouldn't be supported or mentioned by Blizzard in any way.
Welcome to what happens when you don't control the economy, and make raid mat grinds super long and hard to do, looking at leggos, flasks, pots and armor kits. While this tier was fun to watch, it also showcased the failures WoW suffers from for this kind of environment. The expected grinds for this have gotten worse and worse simply because things have gotten more and more expensive, over decreasing in price. Eventually it won't be sustainable anymore and more guilds will pull out from the race, wouldn't be surprised if liquid could be the next guild. Hopefully the new crafting system in 10.0 won't be so astronomically expensive to engage with, given this expansion has been grueling gold wise from start to finish.
Trash guild, always pretending to be "tier above" of the rest, typical PvE elitists. No value was lost. Good move.
RWF not being an official event could easily have a gentlemens agreement of rules to reduce the money and time spent (mostly in splits). It's unlikely to ever happen since the top guilds have by far the most money and time which cut down a huge amount of competition. Then they (not pieces) complain about how the game design is to fault the exact same way as the other guild instead of just coming up with a set of rules that would fit everyone. I do not think there is a way to design the game in a way that wouldnt have the top guilds do some variation of what they are doing now without making the gear 100% deterministic. At that point you might as well remove gear all together.
