I'm with everyone else, I think it's ether going to be this month or the next. With the large influx of datamined information revolving around the patch, and to a lesser extent, Allied Races shows Blizzard is ready or soon will be ready to release it in the next month or two. If the four Allied Races were going to be released during BfA or just before BfA I don't think we would have had as much information on them then we do right now OR we would have had not only data on them but also more information revolving around BfA as whole, instead we have all the information JUST about Patch 7.3.5, Embassy's, and everything to do with just THOSE specific races and a single battlegrounds we can try out and little to no data on anything else related to BfA. I don't think Blizzard would make a mistake this large if it were one.And while I'm on the topic of Allied Races, NO ONE, at least the majority of people would want to try out the new leveling system without some kind incentive, people have been leveling alts on old races and capping them to 110 for months now. I don't think they have the energy to do it once more to just try out a new, slower method of leveling through old world content. You need a fresh carrot on the stick instead of a old, slightly moldy one. What better way to try out the new leveling system then with Allied Races? Also, and I can't stress this enough, if Allied Races were going to be released just a few weeks prior to the release of BfA, it wouldn't give people enough time to level one up and prepare it for BfA. Majority of people have work, jobs, children, and just a few weeks before release isn't going to cut it like Demon Hunters, or Death Knights and how we could play them a few weeks prior, especially now with the slower leveling system implemented in the Patch. This also makes me think that Blizzard doesn't necessarily have everything put together for Battle for Azeroth, I personally believe that they don't want to go into another drought like with the dreaded Warlods of Draenor scenario again, so a good way to keep people occupied is with Allied Races. And continuing on this track; it shows that the only way to unlock Allied Races is to have had Pre-Ordered BfA, what better time to Pre-Order a new expansion then just after a major, multi-religious and or new years event(s)? People have fresh money, primed and ready to spend!
I'm betting the allied races will be released as a BfA pre-order when the content drought really sets in. Say three-four months after the release of the final LFR wing, so around 1st May.
I'm not going to say that there's no way Blizzard drops the patch on the same day as the last wing of LFR Antorus opening and the vast majority of people finally getting to see Argus, but it seems highly unlikely. That's not been how it worked before-7.2 came a couple of weeks after LFR Gul'dan went live, 7.3 went live a couple of weeks after LFR Kil'jaeden. I'm not sold on the Call of the Scarab thing-it's not like things have been datamined sometimes years before they go live, so it's not impossible that they aren't meant for the 2019 Call. There's also the possibility that they're a reward for something that happens in Silithus in the future, even BfA-while they're an obvious Call of the Scarab reward, they might not be. I just find it hard to believe, given the pattern in Legion, that 7.3.5 AND the last wing of Antorus will happen at once. I'm thinking the 30th myself.
Well, if they do January 16th, that seems to line up well with lfr wing 4 being out, which as you say would line up with the wound of the world, but it seems more likely that they may give that time to sink in (see what i did there?).a January 16th release for that patch may feel a bit rushed, insofar as there is a lot of content on the PTR, and as we've seen there are some elements that people have datamined that have not been tested. If they do retire our weapons this soon, theres not much to keep us going weapon wise, there would be a sudden scramble for anything remotely close to the power level... which as we know, is nothing. So, the the likely scenario, is the one outlined, that wing 4 opens, they give us some sort of time to let that run its course, we see the wound of the world, we formulate a plan, a strategy, then at some point prior to the launch of BFA, Magni will deliver the bad news in true bronzebeard fashion.
Was the title of this post meant as "What Are Patch 7.3.5 and Allied Race Release Dates? (Speculation)"?
Personally, I'd rather have Allied Races the same patch they release Revamped Leveling. That way we can play both new things and provide some manner of relief for the inevitable content drought between expansions.I might be wrong, considering how nice Legion has been with things to do.
About a month ago you data mined a lua for Allied Race requirement code and it said something like "CHARACTER_CREATION_REQUIREMENTS_NEED_8_0". Does that really mean you just have to have pre ordered 8.0 or have patch 8.0 installed? One means could be soon the other means a long, long time away.
Allied races are major content, and they won't be added in a minor patch. At the earliest, they'll be added in the pre-patch for those who pre-ordered BfA, just like DHs were for Legion.
How are you folks viewing the Fel Channeling countdown on the Xorothian Cultists? All I have is a solid green bar with no numeric values.
I'm going to guess mid to late February in order to accommodate for the PVP season lasting long enough (i.e., they're usually about 77 days each). I'd think that Blizzard would have given a two-week notice about the season ending if the patch were coming out next week, too. I may be wrong, though, and it could come out next week.
Keep in mind that they can simply patch the mounts earlier than 7.3.5 content. Blizz also said some time ago, that they will always give players 2 weeks heads-up before dropping patch, so next week is out of the question IMO.I personally think that we'll get at least 2 weeks between last Antorus LFR wing and next patch, so I'd vote for Jan 30'th.
You guys seem to forget that the Battle for Azeroth BETA must be right around the corner (if they want to keep their 2-year expansion release cycle; Legion came out August 30, 2016), and that they definitely want 7.3.5 out/off the PTR before that beta starts. The BfA beta should start in February, and I'm not sure if the 4 aforementioned Allied Races (excluding the new Trolls and Dwarves) will get a lot of introductory content. Their "starting experience" is their Legion story which you need to complete to be able to play them. Take, for example, the Highmountain tauren: You'll probably just go to the new Orgrimmar embassy, check the banners for pre-requisites, talk to Baine, visit Thundertotem for an NPC, and then you're ready to play your level 20 Highmountain tauren if you've purchased the digital version of BfA and automatically have it active in your account. The next thing to consider is that the Silithus Wound content is just a small Legion epilogue, and that many people - except the LFR folks - have already finished the Anotorus raid mid January. These players skim through the Silithus content in no time. I don't know about you, but I personally am not interested at all to play through the updated old Azeroth content with twinks/races I already know since years. The only incentive here - for me - would be the 4 new Allied Races, and I expect Blizzard to unlock them either with the launch of patch 7.3.5, or very shortly after. Now that MAU is the new magic word for their investor conferences, the last thing that Blizzard wants is that players freeze their account at the end of January and wait a long time for the BfA pre-order to become available.
