The Rock: "FINALLY!"
I'm over here waiting to be able to transmog legion bows on my BM hunter... WTF Blizz...
Now if they can make it where you can transmog weapons to a shield, and vice versa
You can tell by the comments who does and does not read WoW news regularly.Glad we can mog over the stupid wands tho.
I still cant mog my wand to the Destruction legendary on my affliction warlock, it only work's with staffs. So basically it's nothing else than what they changed with prepatch or am i missing something?
When will Blizz finally realize that current system with its restrictions is so needlesly complicated its not even funny. If they simply separated "Transmogging" from equipped gear it would allow them to cut quite a bit code and stored info.Change cost in way that changing "mogs" would be cheaper and overall gold sink may actually increase with more players using system instead of deciding its too costy.I fully believe that sooner or later gear will be separated from transmogs. It simply is logical progression . Now I only hope it will happen sooner rather then later.
Ok, just to clarify something because a lot of people mistaken this quite easily.Wands can now be transmogrified into Legion Artifact Appearances. It doesn't say that wands can be transmogrified to staves in general, therefor you're only able to transmogrify your wand into your specified artifact specialization. For example, if you're a Shadow priest wielding a wand, you won't be able to transmogrify your wand into Holy's artifact appearance, you'll only be able to change it's appearance to Xal'atath. However, if you're a Holy priest, then you'll be able to change into the Holy artifact appearance. But note that you are only able to change appearance to Legion Artifact and not under the Staves section. That being said, you won't be able to transmogrify from Holy artifact appearance to Discipline.I hope this helps out a lot of people who were confused by this post.
Finally! Now they just need to fix the issue where you can't save a Legion artifact appearance to your outfit. This has been an issue ever since artifacts were able to be transmogged.
Blizzard. Let us transmog whatever weapon our class can use into whatever weapon our class can use. And also add the option to remove ALL gear if you so wish from your character, INCLUDING PANTS. There are so many transmogs that would look SOO much better if we could remove our pants, like the cloth chests from AQ, the yellow, pink, green and turqoise dresses. Let us hide what we want, and transmog whatever we want within the limitations of our class in terms of weapons and armor. If the class can use plate, mail and leather, let that class transmog within those categories, while mixing and matching freely. Same with unlocking gear, if you can USE mail, but are a plate user, LET THE MAIL BE UNLOCKABLE ON THAT CHARACTER TOO.Blizzard just LOVES to limit our fun and imaginations -.-
I'm still waiting for the same with staves.
Personally, I believe that we should be able to transmog any items we can equip to appear as any items we can equip, both weapons and armor. To clarify, in case of any confusion, my warlock almost always is equipped with a staff, as I seem to rarely get any wand and off-hand combinations that provide better stat boosts. For the most part, I'm fine with this, as my two favorite outfits I have both work best with staff transmogs, but still, if I wanted to have my Warlock appear wielding a one-handed sword or wand with an off-hand item like a tome, I'd have to go get items to replace my staff in order to just appear that way. My ret paladin, of course, wields two-handed weapons to maximize DPS, but sometimes I'd like to make him appear wielding a one-handed sword and a shield without having to take a hit to my DPS. Meanwhile, my rogue is currently equipped with an axe in her off-hand which I ended up transmogging to a fist weapon because, for some reason, I can't transmog it to a dagger to match the one in her main-hand.As for armor, I'm pretty sure I've already left this comment somewhere (like, on the page for the Duskhaven Top Hat), but I think, like, any class should be able to transmog their armor to any type of armor that they can equip, meaning that while warlocks, mages, and priests can only transmog their cloth armor to other cloth armor appearances, paladins, warriors, and death knights can transmog their plate armor to mail, leather, or cloth, if they so choose, for example. Of course, rogues, druids, monks, and demon hunters could only transmog to leather and cloth while hunters and shaman could transmog their armor to anything except plate appearances. This could be done by just adding an "armor type" drop-down tab like the tab used for transmogging weapons (you know, like changing a one-handed axe to a once-handed mace, for example), and would open up more player choice as well as fix perceived problems like the Duskhaven Top Hat being a cloth armor, and thus only cloth armor can be transmogged to it. I also feel like the holiday-specific appearances, like the Brewfest garb, the jack-o-lantern helm, and the Bronze-tinted Sunglasses, for instance, shouldn't be restricted to said world-events. First of all, there's not really a whole lot of actually sunglasses in the game, and I can't really think of any others that are an actual transmog appearance. As for the others, what if you want to role-play as an undead who lost it's head and now has a pumpkin in it's place? Well, you're restricted to using said appearance at only one time of the year. What if you want to role-play that your human is from a more German-inspired kingdom (like, I dunno, Stromgarde, maybe) and wears lederhosen? Again, you're restricted to only being able to transmog your stuff to that at one point in the year. What if you feel like the pilgrim outfit is the closest thing to a vampire/witch/werewolf hunter and want to use it for either a priest or hunter? Well, at least the hat seems to share its model with something not restricted to it, as I've had my druid use the appearance outside of Pilgrim's Bounty, but the rest of the outfit is restricted to a specific time of the year. Now, I understand that the devs at Blizz may want to avoid letting players go around in, say, Lovely Dinner Dresses while slaughtering everything with a huge-a** sword, especially if they're supposed to be something fearsome like a death knight, but, at the same time, it should be more-or-less fully up to the players how they look when adventuring, and, obviously, a large portion of the playerbase would still prefer to wear large, imposing armor (or otherwise appropriate battle gear) when questing and all simply because it looks cooler that way, so it's not as if everyone's going to do something like transmog everything but their pants to be hidden and then run around wearing nothing but the aboriginal loincloth appearance, because, if they were going to do stuff like that, you'd be seeing a lot more players doing that already, instead of the many still decked out in awesome armor.I'd also like it if they went through a good number of the Classic tailoring recipes and made more of them transmog appearance, like, the tuxedo and Haliscan sets, as well as Don Carlos' hat. Also the High Society Top Hat and the Rhinestone Sunglasses. And, personally, I think that they should make available transmog appearances that were, for some reason, taken out with Cataclysm, like a couple of the Cindercloth pieces and the Speedy Racer Goggles. Also, honestly, they should probably work on updating the appearance of a lot of older armor pieces, because they look really bad when compared to a lot of the newer, hi-def ones. Of course, all of this would require time and effort, so I understand that none of it it likely to happen. Still, a boy can dream, can't he?
