Good to know.
There goes are middle of the night maintenance.
I thought an overnight patch sounded too good to be true.
I sure hope no one planned to raid that day! We already know that stuff will break. Add on any chance that the maintenance goes long, even 1 or 2 hours, and you have servers coming online at peak login and playing time, makes for a scary situation for server stabilities. But maybe they have learned that it's better to just say that maintenance will take a full business day, instead of saying that it will take 3 hours...then an update of 2 hours longer...then an hour longer...then another 2 hours. Then, if it only takes 3 hours, everybody is happy, and if it takes 8 hours, then it's expected based on the announcement. But it's finally a patch day again tomorrow - here goes nothing!
As an IT worker who regularly has to work weekends and nights to perform maintenance during windows that are convenient for the customer not the engineer this is absurd. You don't schedule change windows during high use hours, that's insane. Then again we require testing and validation on our patches and haven't had a serious bug go live in years.
I don't understand why this is taking all day when it's really not bringing much content or really any changes lol we've had way bigger patches not take an entire day
Looks like tomorrow will be a great day to work from the office.
You all remember when they said the patch was "two weeks" away?Yeh.. That was a few months ago.Lmao. Retail.
It seems like every single time I take vacation on Tuesday, the servers go down. What's up with that?
