Lightwell is the most OP spell in the game.
Since this article was written, SALAD BAKERS beat Noobs time! Grats to SALAD BAKERS on first speedrun under 60 minutes!!!
The most unique tactic I saw in Naxxramas was the first time I saw someone main tank Patchwerk from "behind". Since his Hateful Strike is so frequent the main tank can in effect hit the boss from behind. Example clip.
Wasn't Heigan Safe Spot bug fixed a month ago?https://classic.cuckhead.com/blue-tracker/topic/us/762563
Since day one we have had a Holy Paladin with Righteous Fury kiting the adds on Gluth - he just spams BoK on himself or the nearest priest depending on what there is more of in the raid, and then we have our 2 hunters put down traps for him to kite the mobs over - works really well and means majority of our dps can just blast.
The linked Improved Prayer of Healing talent says 30% reduction, but I think the most you can get is 20% (only able to put in two points, not three).
I'm a priest who's been kiting the chow on gluth for the last three weeks, it's stupid easy.I don't do it alone - I have shamans dropping earthbind and 1-2 warriors per raid who help me out with piercing howl. We've found it a lot more consistent than having multiple mages at variable levels of intoxication attempt to do it.
Is Lightwell still spammable in Classic? As I recall, one of the big issues with Lightwell in vanilla was the fact that people could spam click it and use up all the charges.
On Gluth, we use a prot pally with 400+ def (so he's daze immune) who spams greater kings on whichever class we have the most off, while a warrior with piercing howl helps him out by slowing the zombies. We also have priests specced into spirit of redemption and intentionally killing themselves on Loatheb. The fail angels can heal as much as they like without getting the healing debuff. Putting soulstone on the priests or battleressing them allows them to repeat this several times. It's kinda funny to me how this article makes mention of lightwell, but not of spirit of redemption, when speccing into spirit is required before speccing into lightwell. Fail angels are probably a hundred times more effective than lightwell.
