This kind of stuff just makes me more and more committed to not engaging with that game anymore. After dropping $100 on faith in the Diablo franchise, I've been repeatedly disappointed and will treat any further releases with extreme caution. I follow updates and keep hoping that they'll add something to the actual game that's worth pursuing and earning, but all I see is more transparent time sinks and more manipulative money-grabs in the store. It's such a shame to see an IP crumble and become little more than "another trash mobile game".
This is whats wrong with gaming. Would be acceptable for a free to play game. Not for a full price game. Peoples morals be *insert expletive *
Wowhead you forgot to tag this as D4. It's definitely not related to Retail at least.
All these crossovers are killing the immersion for me. If it is an in universe one like hs and wow or so okay but warcraft in diablo sorry to say but it kills the immersion for me
Trust me, ShillHead didn't just "forget" to tag this as D4. They're being told to push this Kotick merchandise to the masses just as much as Blizzard HQ is. Would love if either company still had actual gamers in its ranks that weren't so terrified of losing their jobs that they would speak their minds and uphold some decent company values.
Since this is somehow a D4 thread that WoWhead decided to slip into retail, I'll drop my two cents in: D4 has the potential to be an amazing game. Blizzard apparently forgot the fun of LAN parties though. I'd love the option to either play online or offline, like D2:R, and I actually enjoyed all the post campaign content of D3. I hate the forced online crap-o-fest, and I hate the monetization of everything. I think there should be a vote from all the people who play the Diablo games, and Blizz should find out the things we love the best about the games, and actually listen to what we want, and then go back to the drawing board and design us a freaking Diablo game that has the best aspects of all the Diablo games, call it something like Diablo V: Final Justice or Diablo V: Retribution Night, charge twenty bucks for it one time, and leave it at that. We don't need a real money Auction House, we don't need paywalls, we don't need to fund Bobby Kotick's next Cosby Yacht. We need engaging storyline, strong characters, armor and weapons worth investing the time into the game for. Stop with the re-skinning of things, stop with the endless vomitorium of tepid tmogs and cosmetic items and mounts I'd be embarrassed to ride through your mother's bedroom.I really, really want to enjoy Diablo, and all the games in the franchise. I have a similar laundry list for WoW, but that's for my next 'Old Man Yells at Cloud' rant. Have a great night.
Imagine all the others things you could spend that $25 on rather than this useless garbage, truly people are braindead.
Make it a drop omg, all cool stuff is in shop. They were making armor set comparisons as a marketing move "there are cool things in-game as well as in shop" but that was just a bait - shop has tons of glowing and unique looks other than now one of most wanted WoW Swords the Necromancer pack where all weapons are a bit ghosty. They created some bad armor sets and put them into shop so that they can compare them with what is in-game. If you are F2P almost all the gear you can gather looks really similar and gets dull after a while so that you get that WOW moment when shop item jumps at you, also it seems like they are not expanding transmogs at you get from open world, I had all of them for Barbarian before S1 and there still is nothing new to unlock. To sum it up stop funneling all the good stuff into shop, there can be some amazing really rare drops for F2P players as well, just like in D3 which does this much better with all the crossover weapons - Ashbringer and Corrupted Ashbringer, Thunderfury and so on...
If its invincible how come I can still see it?</meme>
.
I could never constitute spending almost half the price of the game on a cosmetic designed to feed on nostalgia and nothing else....someone will buy it though and the quality will stay the same or suffer further because ActiBlizz will have no reason to change.
I'm still heated that I wasted 1 million WoW gold on this game. It's not even real money and I'm still mad about it.
