i done Twisting Corridors with 200ilvl:D
A lot of "I completed TC at XXX iLevel" comments seem to conveniently leave their class/spec out of their super helpful posts.
The requirements seem alittle high. I was able to clear this on Druid,Warrior & Monk when they were around 170 ilvl. I had to be careful ofcourse and they all have self healing which makes it easier, but 195 for a L8 is just pepega.
Blizzard: "Here's our recommendation"The average comment here: "I did it lower than recommended, so this is bull*!@#."Did we forget what the word 'recommendation' means? It's Blizz's recommendation. Not a requirement, not a target, just a recommendation. If you can do it with ilevel 140 then good for you. Everyone has a different recommendation. This one is Blizz's.
Most likely these recommended ilvls were based on the difficulty before the massive nerf to Torghast. I mean, if you think about it, it doesn't make sense that the post-nerf difficulty recommendation is 225 what would they have recommended pre-nerf - 9.1 gear? I'm sure you can knock 20 ilvls off all these recommendations.
Those ilvl are insanely high. My demo warlock was ilvl 202, and my shadow priest 200 when they cleared TC 8 solo.
TC Layer 8: 225ilevel? What.
wont say what class/spec ( or they will nerf it) but TC layer 8 can be solo'd carrying a full group on follow in Ilvl 160-180 EASY eyes closed, actually use the restroom mid fight if you need to.
ilvl 225 on layer 8 Twisting Corridors? Did they make it harder? Because I did that solo with like ilvl 200. Was easy as @#$%. Just takes time, no skill. No gear.
The ilvl given must be on torghast which was before nerf not after it was nerfed to the ground . The torghast when it was launched was way much much more difficult than the one that is now .
Yeah, those ilvls are high. I got TC layer 8 done with ilvl 197
So I look at that table and realize that Blizz never intended for casuals who don't raid mythic to ever be able to mount up in the maw until at least 9.1 or 9.2Time to spend my money elsewhere.
The ilv recommendation is straight up misleading. The main problem with Torghast is the awful tuning on some mob abilities that does insane damage to specs with low self sustain. Anyone who has done it as a tank knows how much easier it is, since you can pretty much go for all the dmg increasing anima powers and just AoE stuff down. Good luck surviving in there on something like assa rogue if you get attacked by more than a few mobs... All that matters in there is playing a good spec and getting lucky with powers. I actually feel bad for people who happen to play one of the weaker classes/specs for Torghast.
