These were a bit tougher than last week. I got Arun first time with a standard Mage deck but I actually had to craft a deck for Netherspite. I went with this one (which also works on Heroic). My standard Tempo Mage beat the third boss but it was touch and go. I was down to 1 health by the end!
Funny, i found this wing the easiest so far, didn't even check hearthead before trying like i usually do and beat Aran and Melch with my standard Tempo Mage and Netherspite (loved the mechanic) just with a random Cthun Warrior deck i had lying around , all at the first attempt. All in all, this adventure was really good, not Naxx level of goodness humor and gameplay wise, but still pretty enjoyable in my mind.
I think I may have beaten Netherspite first time if I hadn't queued up to my initial run with a deck that had hardly any minions. There was no chance I was going to win with a spell deck!
Just finished it, so far my least favourite adventure. Naxx was introducing, BRM felt like an epic journey with epic battles, LoE was extremely fun with good and fun mechanics (I still play against Zinaar, Naz'jar and Skelesaurus Hex just for fun these days).Kharazhan was way too easy in my opinion. I got 12/13 normals first try (darn you, Netherspite) and 9/13 heroics in first try, which doesn't sound too 'heroic', and Chess took the longest with 4 attempts. The AI is more stupid than ever before and really needs fixing, I think that was exactly what ruined this adventure the most. I missed the really awesome stand-out mechanics that required specific (weird) decks, and felt like they left out a lot of huge opportunities for heroics. Especially with the last fight, which had so much potential with random class-enemies or multiple portals instead of the single generic warrior extra. I almost did every fight with a resurrection priest, with an added Paletress for fun (who actually turned out the MVP most of the games). Also the ending was quite a letdown. The others felt like you finished a whole adventures, travelled a lot and destroyed the evil boss in the end. This one felt like 'Oh no, Medivh gone, climb tower, quickly free him, back down again and party like the whole adventure never happened'.Now I do have to admit that the acquired cards are actually fun. But I personally also want to play the adventure for the experience, and overall that was quite a letdown. The only battle I really enjoyed was the very first one with Medivh vs Melch, but you shouldn't start off with the best battle and just go downhill from there. If new players asked me what adventure to get, I'd definitely recommend the others above this one. Hopefully better luck next adventure.
This was definitely the easiest adventure so far and I did find it disappointing (although I haven't had a chance to work on the Free Medivh one yet and that does look like the most difficult). The AI was particularly stupid this time round. Arun was sending 15 damage pyroblasts at minions instead of face during Trump's stream. Trump had a minion deck that should never have worked but Arun was constantly sending huge damage at minions instead of face and eventually fatigued to death while Trump just played minion after minion and never attacked with them! He had almost no burn himself in the deck but Arun basically sabotaged himself. I was pretty pleased with my carefully crafted burn/counterspell deck until I saw that you could win with a deck that had no synergy with the situation and should never have worked. It was really quite annoying! The buff ordering was just ridiculously stupid. First you hit with the minion then you buff it, seemed to be the order of the day throughout the adventure!
Netherspite was fun! Turn one footman is actually a valid play!
