Blizzard needs to hire an editor. So many mistakes/typos in this writing.
I'm glad Wowhead does articles like this; it helps mitigate the scattering of storyline details across different media. I get that it's supposed to compel players to actively keep up and - in some cases - pay for additional product. Blizzard is a business, aiming to make money.Personally, I wouldn't mind reading the novellas. I love the lore and I choose to explore it. But there's so many players with nanosecond attention spans and/or those who simply don't care to make the extra effort. Blizzard should recognise this by now because it's not a new phenomenon.
Its absolutely atrocious that basically all major character development and plot happens ONLY in outside material. The writing inside the game is a joke and so undefined you are basically forced to read other things just to understand something they failed to explain the first time.
With regard to the posts about transporting troops by boat, I completely agree. The navies are still relevant and necessary, but for transporting troops quickly and redeploying, portals make the most sense. Why troop units don't have dedicated portal-creating mages is quite beyond me. They should be standard in every platoon (or whatever the WoW equivalent is). I would think that after ten centuries, the night elves - and the rest of the Alliance and Horde - this sort of idea would have been conceived of long ago and become standard practice.
I hate how Blizzard hides "official" lore in books and expects players to buy them to know what's going on in the game :\
I want to know how to file a bug report with Blizzard about Tyrande's and the Kaldorei people's characterization. Why does all the Kaldorei lore and character development happen in novellas that few people will ever read, and all the character assassination happen in-game? This is why we have to deal with people on the forums and Discord channels and basically everywhere anyone talks about WoW lore slamming Tyrande and the Kaldorei every time the subject comes up! Thread after thread after thread with subject lines like "Remove Tyrande NOW!" and I just. Cannot with these people, but at the same time, it isn't in the game and the game is where they're getting their lore! Will we AT LEAST get a Tyrande cinematic that will clear some of this up for players who are willing to watch a video? God, I just.I just cannot even. How much do I wish Blizzard would cut us Kaldorei lore-lovers and Kaldorei RPers a break and make the game Kaldorei live up to the ones in the books? SO. MUCH.
Poorly executed in-game.
We need another cinematic from her perspective.
