Is this a joke? What body? There are no bodies/corpses in the shadowlands they said everything we see is a manifestation of anima...lol you couldn't even parody this lack of knowledge of their own lore
It still makes no sense. The Necrolord are killing each other at lesat since the Primus was gone. There should be no souls left there. What makes sense, for me, in the case of Maldraxxus, is that when killed, their body are gone but the souls survive. It is like a perk for the necrolord. To kill the soul, you would have to kill it after killing the body or with some other weird magic.
guys it all really can make a ton of sense but you gotta get out of the literal & be open minded . the Korthian Relics are really good reasons to migrate away from fundamentalism and stuff . there are a lot of symbols that occur and repeat . there are a lot of very specifically named items , which are literally thematic calories suitable in Shadowlands - many things there to bring the stuff to life . talk to NPC's and stuff. Each Soulbind represents the fruition of afterlife - the Maw-walker's window to the Purpose - and contains entirely the thematic justification of resident realms of Shadowlands . Emeni's story is awesome to see Reanimation & understand the embodiment of afterlife through recycling some features of the Shadowlands , spreading flesh ashes through a realm , and reunion of the ashes by virtue of a passage through the in-between manifesting the vacuum of that soul's Embodiment brings those ashes back together , , reanimates with a literal Heart . . the afterlife is not of entities as we know them but of the infinite immortalities residing and passing through the entity . Souls arrive at a realm in Shadowlands . from the in-between, which is complex & confounds dimensional rules, but , it still BALANCES the Purpose ., the dimensional rights of a Soul that have or have not resulted in its Continuity .i know of the Kyrian 'arrival' desk for souls to become aspirants but not to become Stewards . . the soul arrives, pleading , to return to its rigorous protection of innocent dependents. the kyrian have no choice but to transition the soul from making the plea into Aspirant training . It is the way of Kyrian . The Aspirants path is balanced on Bastion by symbolic representations of the Souls balancing momenta & consequence narratives that are both internal to bastion & specific interventions on Bastion from the in-between .. . Steward = embodied afterlife of INNOCENCE( exploration/naivete/trust/selflessness/sweet tooth) . . . the Innocence of a corporeal life (in all of us) dies before the soul has left the body , and in Bastion , the embodiment of that innocence is safe to fall asleep on the surface of water and to explore beyond the cliffs (itll be caught) , its continuity into Bastion is the natural flow of some departure from the mortal form it leaves behind to forma relationship with its consciousness on & with Bastion's permission to develop the sensory means equally permissive to corporeal agony . Balancing an Aspirant's baggage is a compromise necessary to transition its Ascension . . clinging attachment, to its mortal life - is not done by erasing its memory because its memory is necessary to transition , why ? because . . .some years or days or decades before that arrival of the pleading protective rigorous soul , its innocence transitioned from mortality to Stewardship , The aspirant has access to sooth the Soul's agony , all it needs to do is ASK a steward . it can be any steward , because innocence did not contemplate a protector identity , so the Aspirant can see itself in all stewards if it is so capable of self love.. Bastion contains the means to dabble in self-doubt and self-hate as well because the Path back to innocence and to finding oneself *deserving* of stewardship is never beyond rescue but is sometimes compromised in any number of ways that distance the agonizing of an Aspirant's SOUL from the Stewardship remedy - this is why humility & training are continuations for all the souls that happen to arrive at Bastion - it is crucial that the Mawsworn have accessed Bastion from the in-between to pose the recruitment pressure an Aspirant would fight for **but a Steward would not die for if it kinda explored its way into the Mawsworn Influence as they sometimes do** . The mawsworn recruitment is a vacuum created in favor of the transition from agonizing souls on Bastion to ANGUISH of an entity . Not all entities were the soul of a mortal life , perhaps . the Agony of a slave in bondage is driven in the mortal world beyond recognition as broken , agony dies many times over , and the same Anguish is always the end point of the broken . the driver of Anguish is itself agonizing until it creates the anguish steady state in a victim . . oh gosh . . --- The venthyr are a necessary resolution of the paucity in storytelling on behalf of the victims whose stories arent told . . the Venthyr negotiate for crumbs to pull together what is necessary - the profiting and competitiveness behind every voyage of a slave ship, across oceans, all that is left to know them by is from the written word . . the few writers that told their stories were so far and few between and fully invested in forgetting every detail that , storytelling the redemption realm inevitably is ambitious . . but the In between is really the vacuum piece from/to the maw & is as back and forth as the momenta in 1 mortal history - it is the Living Afterlive *in between* . ,so it uhh and .. ok . the thing , the Purpose .. everyone having fun ?The purpose!
blizzard still getting shirted on
I don't see what's hard to understand about this. If you put a person in a mech suit and then kill the mech suit the person inside can survive. Same idea with constructs and souls in shadowlands.
guys the korthian relics right click them in the display room & its like all you need
Deposit Animathe anima items are behaviors that balance the Afterlife by coming from their sources - Anima , liek , the free will , . they balance out in a united realm with only anima to spread it apartread the names of the items , those are all worth 5 anima . theyre like , motifs from mortal lives that can't be maintained in the shadowlands so they can just exist as the finite currency that represents the exchange of attention of any consciousness outside of a mortal memory
shadowlands is so ambitious in scope & storytelling it's really spread out in the realms of shadowlands - the books / npc chat are just from 1 piece of the puzzle - - the Zones themselves have small areas of huge value to just notice the small things , because the anima & stygia & souls & transcendent materials are all promised to make sense **within the context of the zones as they are with the hangouts that are there not worried about the anima**. . go to the areas where there is just unnamed NPCs and see what theyre doing how they sit , as if they do or dont interact naturally, the stewards are so crucial to understanding bastion really & the dredgers of Revendreth are exactly the hint we are looking for about death in the afterlifewe can't know "EVERYTHING" that the narratives admittedly can't understand - like , why do the souls come here & why dont we rescue etc , "this is just what we do" - there is no "everything" without a basic living idea about the actual worldbuilding choices cus they are so unique here. observing everything from the jaggedness of rocks , the forgivingness of the 'edges' of realms , the amount of art on the interior walls , etc , everything to the friendliness of "WILDLIFE" ? is all a part of *knowing* the way it works & contrasts the other realms but all are in the same shadowlands
remember first arriving in Maldraxxus and thinking , , there's nothing to skin herewtfthat's a feature of maldraxxus , on purpose(it has more recyclable-material embodied constructs than it has original incarnations)it's a hint about the "entities" suitable for afterlife with both an endemic plague & vicious beasts in the environment . the 'entity' might be a fractured piece of a mortal story for example , or a collective natural history all together . damn now i am conused but i did it to myself
This is the inevitable result of a writing team whose only focus is "Hey this sounds cool, let's do this." No thought is given to how things work until someone who actually cares about the most basic worldbuilding asks a question, and then the writers have to twist themselves into pretzels coming up with an explanation on the fly, one that oftentimes contradicts established worldbuilding or makes no sense at all when looked at as part of the puzzle. This is what happens when your writing staff is where you put all the "friend of a friend" hires and it's run by the guy married to the head of HR; none of these people have any business being official arbiters of the Lucky Charms commercials' storylines never mind the caretakers of a near-30-year-old franchise's storyline.
the kyrian embodiments of a soul are afterlife suitable patterns , if it makes it through the in-between , there is no promise of 1=1 for souls/kyrian embodiments/etc coming out the same way they went in. if it make it through the in-between then the First Ones have influenced its transformation cus it had to go thru oribos . "Broker" what arrives in maldraxxus is always carnal installments , and if it looks like a Kyrian then it symbolizes in some way the expected retaliation maybe , idk . the covenants came back together easily in oribos & korthia which was not hard for them to do , because afterlife is where things go that transcend conflict
