Reskinning the balloon pet by putting a SC logo on it would have required around the same low effort and way less people would be complaining, so no, a FoS is not a reward at all. Removing WoW from the list probably would have felt better than an achievement what you will forget that ever existed within a week after completion, if you bother to get it.
I just tried saluting someone's Zeradar, but it didn't work. Do I have to wait till a certain time?I was able to get the D3 pet this morning.
Did you get anything?I logged in to overwatch..got nothing. Couldn't even find the new skin for widowmaker. Then I tried with diablo....got nothing. There is nothing new on my pet tab..I'm a bit disappointed
Any one got the SC remastered 20th Anniversary UI Skin yet?
Today is the 7th, Ive saluted 2 of the pets and no achievement, so when does this really start?
Anyone know how the Starcraft Remastered UI skin thing is meant to work? I saw nothing that indicated that I had gotten it when I logged into the game. Yet the other game rewards I got just fine.
Calling an achievement a reward and saying 'all games have rewards for this', the same word you use to describe a free OW skin, Diablo pet, HOTS portrait, and a whole extra game in HS, is disingenuous at best. You say you gave a reward, but you really didn't but want to take credit for it. That's why people are mad. It's a half-lie and it's not honest. i'm disappointed, but not surprised. Blizzard frequently phones it in on the holidays in WoW (see inflatable TF; noblegarden flowers not battle-able; low-level crappy loot from old dragons that's not worth getting on even moderately-geared chars so a big chunk of people can't wholeheartedly participate; rapid mind pots only one year of Xmas; i could go on and on but i won't) and it's been that way for so long i doubt it will ever change. P.S. A commercial entity celebrating an anniversary is celebrating how long they've been taking people's money, how long they've been profiting. No, we should not buy a gift for their anniversary of profiting off of us and you are being disingenuous for even trying to argue that. This is why commercial anniversaries are soaked in thank-yous. They're thanking us for giving them money for so long. In this case, i think they just don't care about saying thank you in this way. It's too bad, but it is what it is. You would think that this is a showcase moment for their business, being a video game company and in the business of selling pretty graphical pixels, a chance to show off what all that money has produced, but clearly they don't agree with me.
I don’t even know what a Starcraft is but I like those cute zergling things
Confirming the above comment - I have the collector's boxes for both heart of the swarm and legacy of the void, as well as the Nova campaign - buying the Digital Deluxe campaign bundle was reduced to the price of £5 because of all I owned. The bundle is most definitely variable, as most heroes of the storm bundles work.FURTHER EDIT: For clarification on the offending comment, this is the first and only time Mini Thor has been available digitally. Prior to this bundle it was restricted to the physical Collector's Edition of wings of liberty.
I don't expect or want anything, but to make this 'event' revolve exclusively off of a meaningless feat of strength achievement that does nothing ingame and requires store-bought pets to obtain (from you or someone else) is just... deeply insulting.I would have enjoyed a fun Starcraft anniversary event -- I loved the Diablo anniversary event! -- but doing nothing at all would have simply been better than this.On top of all of this nonsense, for some reason, the 'event' -- if you even call it that -- even has an arbitrary delayed start and only lasts a week, the only reason I can fathom why Blizzard would put this off is in hopes someone might be desperate enough to buy a collector's edition for this achievement... though I cannot imagine that literally anyone would bother.I'm not one to complain about petty things, but this is just absolutely ludicrous. How could Blizzard not see that this would just irritate people? Why even bother? There's no obligation to have an event for every game, they should have just skipped over WoW on this one if they didn't want to actually do anything with it.
I for one hope that this Feat of Stregth comes with a hidden surprise reward, seeing as it's delayed suspiciously close to April 1st. I would really give Blizzard credit if they throw this into some kind of April Fools joke by hiding the real reward for the salute. Not going to get my hopes up though. Just would be awesome if there's more to it and it's just this years prank on the player base....
I'm going to have fun with this sad reward, forcing people to salute my baneling (President Trump) and turning myself with a pet mirror into him, hanging around the orgrimaar auction house steps annoying people after the achievment 8)
