Murozond boss fight, confirmed?
Wasn't End Time one of the possible timelines? I vaguely remember Noz saying (after you finish the dungeon) that in time he will become Murozond and that we'll have to stop him
Even if the End Time is his absolute final, unchangeable death, there's no reason we can't have a raid fight with Murozond at a point in his existence prior to him going to the End Time.
Murozond boss fight but the final phase is the entire End Time dungeon.
How about using SPOILER tags in the title and desc? Stop spoiling the game before it's out on retail...
This is a sign... there only one way Nozdormu can stop himself from becoming Murozond: He has to die. This explains his absence in that mural with 4 dragons, 3 of them known aspects, the other a purple one. He can't just try and get into some place where no one could find him because he himself would end up falling to madness regardless. He has to die. That's what he's thinking about when he turns away from us on this quest. Now we just have to wait and see how it's going to go.
How about we just, you know, work towards a timeline where he DOESN'T willingly become a time terrorist? Dude knows what leads to it, and he clearly knows fate can be changed as he's seen it happen. Quit being a suicidal emo, and use at least one of those dragon brain cells to attempt fixing the problem! I always thought his future death was stupid, and that Blizzard seemingly doesn't care about this fella since he's essentially irrelevant outside of the Dragon Soul raid.Butterfly effect? Meh. Some other character will be turned into the leader of the time terrorist flight. Probably Chromie or some random bronze dragon we spoke to one time in classic. The aspects don't need to be killed off constantly. We've killed (or have been involved in the death of) three of them, and that's plenty.
I'm really tired of Blizz trying to go full Klingon opera and sloppily killing off the "gods" and then walking it back because the fans were upset.
Guys. The End Time version of Murozond was one from a different timeline in which Deathwing won. It isn't the same Norzdomu because he was the one helping us fight that version of him.He even warned at us at the very end of the dungeon that one day he would get corrupted and become Murzond. It's not a retcon.
FWIW, I don't think the "we prevented that timeline from happening" thing is why Murozond is still a threat. If I recall correctly, Murozond had screwed the timeways such that, at that point in Cataclysm, End Time was the only 'future' that was accessible. He was trying to make that the true future, he wasn't actually native to it. His death wouldn't have been 'undone' when that timeline was prevented because in the multiverse that timeline still exists, it's just not the one the prime timeline wound up taking - and since he was a foreign invader for that timeline, his death sticks. We didn't prevent the End Time from ever happening, we prevented it from happening to our Azeroth. That's why I think any Murozond we see will be one who hasn't experienced the End Time yet, and why Nozdormu said this (End Time) was the death he had forseen.
Idk, the Murozond time traveller / multiverse storyline already feels more convoluted than the WoD storyline, and we all know how that played out. I fear we shouldn't think about it too much, since those science fiction physics aren't well defined enough for us to know definitely what is happening. Blizzard can literally do anything with it and we won't be able to argue much against it, so no point in trying to establish any rules here.
