But that's the point -- with Resto they got it right, you have extra points to play around with for fun that aren't 'mandatory' - unlike Enhance, where I can't see any talents that aren't mandatory.
I, personally, like the new EnhSham tree. The new talents should smooth out the priority a bit.
FINALY! Ele shams may finaly be able to compete with mages and locks with these new changes!and yes, an AoE!
I hope the enhancement mastery talent will make the six points spent in buffing orbs worth it. The orb talent points have always seemed like fluff from a damage per talent point perspective.
Focused InsightAfter casting any Shock spell, your next heal's mana cost is reduced by 75% of the cost of the Shock spell, and its healing effectiveness is increased by 25%.Shamanistic FocusReduces the mana cost of your Shock spells by 45%.I wonder if applies the mana reduction from when reducing mana cost of the next healing spell.
One of the things i noticed is the talent Foucesed insight in the resto tree seems kinda off at first, But Wind Shear is also counted as a shock and dosnt use the same global cooldown as with all the other shocks or spells making it an ideal shock to use for the talent. The other thing i noticed is that there is a remaning amout fo talents points from the resto tree or the elemental tree, are left are able to be put into the enhacment tree to get Dule Weild. This allows us to apply to Earth living or FlameTouge on both wepons while having the use of a full spec in ither resto or elemental.
CHRIST! Riptide is a beast now!
I got bored, so I put together something looking at the average time saved with Lava Surge. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AvjwZoWzKatOdG9mQVk3eUpfNDRtS1RoMkJBcHp6Ync&hl=enThe question will be (of course) whether the time "saved" waiting for LvB cooldowns is better than the additional damage from Searing Flames & DW FT enchants. I'm leaning towards ignoring DW for more Searing Flames points, probably in the 3-4 points range for optimal dot uptime (I can't remember the hit frequency, nor whether it's affected by haste).
