A lot of words just to say "We don't know" re: alternate souls.....
So Bridenbrad was important enough for the Light to intervene and bring him to the religion's real afterlife, but not Uther or Mograine, who are both damned in different ways by this negligence... Riiiiight.......
Y'all... I don't think I'm smart enough for this expansion...
tl;dr : we'll just make it so those alternate version is frozen in time because in Shadowlands time does not matter. We'll unfrozen them when we find a way for it to make sense in the story, either by making some plot device or a retcon device.
i mean they stated that the Shadow lands are infinate, so the easy answer would be that there is a other region ( mirroing the same setup) for the AU in the shadowlands. is it that hard blizz?
Blizzard, you're high.Just keep it simple: make your game a fun game to play. Balance stuff. Fix stuff. I really don't care about the existential issues between souls from paralel worlds. Don't try to over complicate things. I'm a simple man: I don't mind going around killing murlocs as long as its fun.
Ok so about drakka and the ropeAU Drakka has no effect on MU drakka. How are they part of a rope? they dont affect each other. Is there a meta drakka and both of these feed her and we see only the thread of MU drakka? Like what kind of cheap explention is that?
Aww, man, my dream of an awesome Twin Gul'dan boss fight in the Torgast Pinnacle final raid of this expansion, dashed against the rocks!
If time doesn't matter, then WTF are we doing? The mechanics of death stopped working recently, but if time doesn't matter, there's no recently. Someone dies in AU before things got broke and in MU after things got broke, are they in the maw? or where they're supposed to be? Each time they address the AU, it gets spun inexplicably in a new direction where none of the old stuff make any sense any more. There are a lot better handwave explanations for "don't worry about it, it's not relevant" instead of all that rope stuff that doesn't make sense in any context. What a bad question to wing an answer for.
So you can die two times...The first one is easy because you "live" in the shadowlands but if you die again there, your soul is forever goneHmm..
Ask the Bronze Dragons.I think there was something about tampering with timelines and the Infinite dragonflight?Maybe that can be explained in those terms.Perhaps there are different versions of the Shadowlands, maybe where the roles are reversed with some.
So earlier he says that Draka’s soul is made up of different threads like AU Draenor, but then later says that the Draka in Maldraxxus is Thrall’s actual mother... Wouldn’t she be like an aggregate of all the Drakas?I think it was best to just leave AU timelines as being destined to fade away like they originally had it and just sort of forget about WoD’s nonsense. The Mag’har allied race should have been the ones from Outland in my opinion.
I like how Nobbel explained it better in his theory that since what you look like in the Shadowlands is so changeable it doesn't really matter if you met yourself and if one character met a different version of themselves they might not even notice it was them. It's just a vague realm full of a lot of different beings. What was explained here instead made very little sense. For example what if one version of Garrosh from an alternate reality was actually a really good guy whose life went well and he helped a whole bunch of people as a great Warchief, does he deserve to be tortured in Revendreth when his strand joins the rope? Just no. There's no point in alternate realities if they're full of the same characters.
