Thank you. Lore articles are always fun to read, and even more fun to speculate on their future.
It's interesting that Sanguine Depths is not part of any covenant campaign nor the leveling process. There is literally nothing leading you up to that dungeon and when you zone in we are in the middle of prisoner rescue. De other side and Spires were at least explained in covenant campaigns

Blizzard should have implemented Quest lines up to Dungeon Quests which are all talking about lore for a specific dungeon. dont have to be main quest lines, even side quests would be ok. i prefer to learn Lore from the game rather than a website. it seems Blizzard as an indie company cant implement its own lore into its own game.
I believe Sanguine Depths was mentioned when we were headed to unveil that anima was being stored due to Denathrius storing it though right? That was towards the end of the campaign (for now).
Devos and Krexus have been the most underutilized and wasted characters that were introduced to us as probable big players in the story for this expansion. Especially Krexus since he was killed off-screen. That was a huge WTF for me during the campaign questing.Lysonia has been a thoroughly underwhelming character for me, and Vyraz's turn has been wasted as well since he hasnt done anything in the questlines or the dungeons since the revelation. There needs to be some justice for Devos and Krexus.
Sanguine Depths i kinda just think of as where General Kaal recapitulates the status of Kael'thas when we fought him in Magister's Terrace (BC) . KT was all about himself & Kaal is all about Anima - read the dungeon guide blurbs on each boss in both dungeons & see how much overlap there is . the two dungeons narrate the way power is 'brokered' at two points in the Lore ? There are 'living books' (i,e, unfinished insights about the power) , there are dangerous experiments & fallout , and yes really , there are fanatical first bosses that are surrounded by mini-me's . these themes show the way the narrative 'power' (anima now) 'reorganizes' the world into chaos . The second/third bosses & their environments show the painstaking 'cultivation' of the power & the transgressions required to be undertaken , basically the material 'bargains' of cultivation - the meat of the themes The final boss is the local power broker , the ones whose commitment to organize the power led to the chaos . by chaos i mean the dastardly themes in each dungeon . experimental torture and extraction , basically villain stuff , that we encounter in each part of the two dungeons & finally see 'mastered' in the final boss room , by the power broker , whose abilities are twisted & capital versions of the dungeons signature mechanics . we are rescued from that mastery of the power by 'get in the circle' mechanics which idk , prolly foreshadow the next chapter of the lore :) woops . . my mistake , , don't 'get in the circle' during KT's gravity lapse (thats what killed me in timewalk MGT today sorry to my group)idk jury is still out on Sanguine depths but thx for article
or you could simply ask the naaru why she is there, she will tell you ^^
