I swear if there a rep grind for (aka pathfinder,)flying I'm going to RIP somebody balls off and make them eat it.
When can my Hunter buy Stealth?
Will Flying be locked for each expansion still?
haleluja.
I’m worried about Cata zones which are designed with having flight in mind. Hopefully they can give you a rental flying mount like in Storm Peaks.
With having a riding skill at level 1 starting zones won't be flooded with chopper sounds at least.
and we do not need exalted rep in 5 factions? wow awesome!
Deepholm and Mount Hyjal will certainly suck.
Every expansion with the exception of a few specific areas in Cataclysm zones were originally designed that you could access all areas from the ground while you level. The only areas that required flying to do in BC, LK, and MoP were all originally based around being at the level cap. People have mentioned Storm Peaks but this zone could be fully quested from the ground with the exception of the level capped areas, Icecrown is the same with all areas meant to be accessible while still leveling can be done without flying. As per cataclysm:I keep seeing Sethria's Roost comments being made and while valid, Sethria's Demise CAN be done without flying but it's a major pain since you have to ledge jump down and hearth/come back to Hyjal again to turn-inAs per Deepholm which required level 82 and Uldum which required 83, one of these two zones would usually present itself around the 50% timeline of questing through Cataclysm which was 80-85. Under the new system, I see level 25 for flying very near the same approximate time you would need flying for completing these zones if you follow the original timeline transitioning.Cataclysm content certainly does make one think about flight being level 25, though Cata zones would only be available to veteran players right? New players get a specific route of Exiles Reach > BfA > Shadowlands, so this wouldn't be an issue for them. For us veterans, are we stuck with a one xpac choice for 10-50 or can we jump around? If it's the latter, then flight being "needed" before 25 is a non-issue.
I'd like them to remove the rep grinding from Pathfinder. I don't want to be tied to just one alt to get flying. I like playing all my alts but I'm not doing quests the hard way on foot more than once.
So what about those of us that are level 50? Will we be able to buy lessons at those levels? Didnt Ian say something about Pathfinding at blizzcon?
Those prices look like they just took the prices from live and transferred them to the alpha. It's possible that they will adjust the prices and scale them down to lower levels as they get closer to release and they get a better idea of what the average player will have in terms of gold at those levels.
