People didn't bother with timewalking on beta because there was new %^&* to test, like LOTS of new $%^&. Who the hell cares about TW when looking at an ENTIRE EXPANSIONS worth of new content? (Before patches ofc)
Laser Matrix should now hit targets that are within striking distance of a typical ranged damage dealer, as intended. Stop just ... Stop with this vague bs. Just put in the damned number and be done with it and maybe there will be a CHANCE that the player base will drop back to normal cynical levels. But just a chance.
This isn't the first time there've been issues or oversights with TW scaling. It's been a recurring theme in pretty much every expansion since they were introduced, particularly with the first one or two appearances. Has nothing to do with BfA specifically, and most importantly doesn't really play into this 'beta for Azeroth' tagline that's running rampant through the internet.
Are they ever going to resolve the biggest flaw with timewalking? The horrendous scaling? I was doing Grim Batol yesterday every mob took 2-5 minutes to kill while on my level 85 toon I was able to complete and entire hallway in 10 minutes. Why does Blizzard make timewalking so terrible?
The thing is Blizzard changes his System in BFA. They hope its wil work and easy to applie to the older contents, but its not. End of story. Legion was boring af. BFA has to come out asap and they dont have time to secure everything. Is it Beta for Azeroth? Yes it is but I rather play this beta instead of wasting my time in legion..
This expansion was pushed out to early because they did not want to go over the 2yr time frame from the launch of Legion which was launched Aug 30, 2016. Was it ready entirely, no,not really, but, I don't remember an expansion where there weren't significant problems in the beginning. One might go back and visit Legion - Secondary stat issue between patches 7.1 - 7.15 and that was well after the launch and first patch. Not everyone is going to be happy, and I have only one real complaint and that is why my 355 AZ Armor with its traits sims much better then my 370 AZ Armor with a bit poorer traits. This fundamentally should have been caught in Beta for sure. I would have much rather had a two month pre-expansion build up - let some of these bugs get worked out and have a much more stable 8.0 release. Also, I do wish Blizzard would stop launching this stuff in August - nothing beats a new expansion launch followed by a cool trip to Blizzcon to see the first patch release. I'll just say, I feel the person leading the game development, Ion namely, is not connected to the game community much.
Personally, as I said, the only complaint that I have is the AZ Armor traits/stats - I have lower level armor that is simming better then higher level gear. That should have been caught especially after the stat issue that was revealed in Legion. Otherwise, I see nothing else wrong with this expansion - including Warfronts and Island Expeditions - I've fought Alliance almost every expedition at some point, sure, there a few that I haven't but that was great, in, win and out. Warfronts, great - now all you complainers, you want to give back your 370 gear that you were able to quickly gather on your alts that were undergeared that were in a Warfront? Yeah, didn't think so - I mean, you're not complaining about that when it goes in your favor, right? As for Ion, my feeling here is that he poured gas on an already lit fire by holding an AMA - don't do that - you're absolutely dumping your credibility, simply acknowledge some fixes and move on - haters are going to hate, period. I've been critical in the past(Ion is not connected well with the gaming community, imo), but, with a bit more calmness to my play have found the game and overall expansion to this point to be rewarding. Except the gear ilvls - :)
After WoD beta i gave up on trying to submit bug reports on the beta, since literally all of them made it live (not very important, but things like mobs and herbs spawning inside rocks and stuff like that). I only filled like 3 bugs this time, and none got fixed. So i just treat it as a trial, and let the reporting to the people who still think it makes a difference if you do it or not.
Timewalking vendor still selling 180 ilvl gear for lvl 120 characters.
