My boy Vol'zith didn't deserve this :(
Protection Last Defender now has a cap of up to 50% reduction in damage taken. This is what happens when someone is clever enough to use mechanics to their fullest. But, not clever enough to keep their mouth shut about it.
Firstly, for you all complaining about the Azerite Traits:This is their first pass, as was stated in the original blue post about said changes. They are dealing with some of the biggest outliers this week, the ones that are WAY over-budget, or WAY under-budget. There is more to come. This is only dealing with the largest outliers: The ones that were "Pick this or you are bad, cause everything else is 30% or more inferior to it". More balance, buffs, changes, etc. will come in following hotfixes or weekly updates. Cause, just from a Paladin perspective (and only 2/3 of Paladin, I don't play Holy), most of Ret's traits are trash, and a couple of Prot's are way under-budget.For people complaining about crafting:They screwed up crafting in general this expansion. While Expulsom is a pain (note: trinkets ALWAYS give one, and nothing else), at least every profession uses it. Hydrocores are barely used by half the professions (outside of the Champion gear nobody bothers to make), and then you got Sanguicells, used by all of 3: Armorcrafters, for BoP items. They dropped the ball hard, in general, on professions. As a Jewelcrafter, I got no use for Hydrocores, Sanguicells, or Expulsom at this point. Making iLevel 300/310 Rings and Staves? No point. Gems? Market is over-saturated, cause sockets aren't fixed, they are a random tertiary bonus. The profession as a whole is a "if you get a bonus...", nobody else can claim any profession is worse-off: Nothing a JC makes is worth anything after you break ilevel 310+, barring the rare moment you get a lucky upgrade for a socket (for a bonus that is no stronger than an enchant). They made prospecting not suck this expansion, and then made the rest of the profession suck (to be fair, gems were never doing great ever since sockets were taken from guaranteed to tertiary bonus... that was dumb to take an entire profession's main consumable, and make it a "bonus" slot). But every profession is basically bad, cause aside from Inscription with the Darkmoon Cards (as they always get them), nobody can make any gear for OTHER people above 310 (on a lucky craft).I sincerely hope they do something pretty drastic for professions soon. Unless you are a Blacksmith, Leatherworker, or Tailor, you have NO use for Sanguicells at all (yet still get them), and those 3, plus Engineering, are the only ones using Hydrocores for gear as well. The rest only get to make Champion Gear, which is mostly useless, cause most of it is to just get more materials that make no sense to get when the entire crafting system is so decrepit and unrewarding to even invest in. The exceptions are Blacksmithing (+Success), Leatherworking (Reduced Mission Time), and Engineering (Azerite Bonus Reward), the rest are all JUST for crafting materials.
Only decent trait to help Aff's poor aoe you buff one week then nerf the next. You didnt gut it enough going into bfa? have another go blizzard you can do better than this just swing the bat a bit harder. Its tiresome to see your class go through a grinder on weekly basis.BFA joke of an expLets all play BM hunters since they are the only ranged spec that has the toolkit to tackle all content.
Hopefully Blizzard will learn from this feedback and not make any more hotfixes to anything.
so they nerf the only usable trait for ww monk but affi and disc are stil untouchable... How the actualy fck make it sense? At least give something useful monk not just Nerf it. And beat the sht out of affi. they do 30k+ dmg ön single target while every1 else fő around 15k in same gear....
Waste a whole month and still i can't get the 3x blackout kick traits. Hate all there is about the new monk gameplay with being forced to play around one trait that stacks. We where promised to wrap around many different traits so we can re-spec and have many options to enjoy our class. Instead ww lost the whole feeling of itself in legion that was amazing. Now its just a truck that comes in once in a while, because now with traits rsk can hit for 120k, but if you didn't have 3 traits you can go for ToD trait so it can do around 40-50k damage but then that got nerfed...so its back to the 3 of the same. And now the main working trait is getting nerfed. Instead of reducing the damage by 50%, make it so it doesn't stack and give it the damage as if there where 2x traits stacked. Because if you nerf the trait, it does NOT make any sense to nerf it by 50% if its not stacked 3 times because it doesn't do so much damage when its stacked or single standing trait...so like is mage still cool?
instead of nerfing some of the good traits why not buff the crap ones more or put a limit on how many times a trait can be stacked, thats what makes it really strong. so 3 stacks of this or that top trait is just a massive dps boost, make some of the lesser ones usable and put a cap of 2 on the top traits while buffing the weaker traits dps will stay around the same. instead you guys nerf in the middle of a raid tier not thinking how much dps people will loose from these nerfs. what happened to waiting on 8.1 for major changes?
Anyone who suggests buffing everything to the level of the worst outliers is out of their mind. You are literally asking for a constant arms race where a new thing becomes the more powerful FotM pick from tweak to tweak.Blizzard is looking at it the right way, bring outliers to the level of the traits that are of reasonable power level. If Azerite reaches the point where the top traits are at reasonable levels and in a range of +/- 5% for a each spec, then they can move on to balancing classes more effectively and avoiding the problem where classes ended up balanced around the Artifacts, leading to incomplete broken messes once they were removed.
Engi could easily have a use for their sanguicells: Add a receipt to upgrade the googles. Each time it costs more cells (other costs remain the same, if there are even any other costs), and you get to upgrade the googles up to 385.The 3 recipes would be the same for each armor type: 340->355, 355->370 and 370->385. Not 12, of which 9 are useless to you, like with these bop google recipes.
Thanks Rextroy for the nerf!
They just nerfed 2 of the most powerfull traits for spriest and our damage already suck..... nice blizz
I can not wait to collect even more Hydrocores that i don't need!
Nice change for hydrocores. Took them a month....
Makes sense to cap Last Defender to prevent similar issues in the future, but I really hope the lack of a fix on Waycrest Manor is because they have yet to find a way to fix it (instead of they just not fixing it) because the solution would be incomplete otherwise. Also, Hydrocores having a chance to drop on Heroic is how it should have been to begin with.
