At the very least, if the commodities get too oversaturated and fall below vendor value, we can buy those up and either wait for the market to balance out, make into something more profitable, or simply sell to vendors. On one hand, I hope it's not as bad as people make it to be.On the other, I'd be happy to have two crafting professions per character and just buy cheap mats.
Ingenious on Blizzards part: oversaturate the market with consumables = Drives the price of those items down = Less Gold farming = Less Free wow players from Tokens.
Long term into DF this change is pretty good considering materials will have ranks iirc
Global undercut, omg.
I frankly don't understand why the prices are "doomed" to go down that much. Sure, there will be more mats in the whole pool, but also a lot more buyers as well. For smaller servers the prices will go down a bit, for bigger servers not a whole lot will change. Or am I missing something that badly?
Awesome. Some people really price gouge.Besides, we're working with the revamped AH system. If you put your item at 500g and I put my item at 500g, mine sells first. This is to discourage undercutting, whoever was last to put up their price gets sold first. Let's say we have server A, B, CA is high pop and sells 10g a piece.B is medium and sells 15gC is super low, sells 25g.While C and B will have their prices down, it also means that the buyers will be able to actually afford things. And if B&C only had prices that high so that they could afford other things.. Well now those other things are lower priced too.Only thing this kills is people taking advantage of lower pops to hoard gold.
Something that no one has mentioned. Doesn't this make it easy to transfer gold to other realms? Create a new guy on a new realm, go farm a peacebloom, sell it for 100k. Buy it with a character that has a lot of gold on another realm. Boom, instant 100k on the new guy.
I just wish it wasn't "last one in, first one out", it promotes people sitting at their computer and relisting. And the guy that relisted yesterday never gets his item sold. Then again, I don't know if the solutions would have knock-on effects either...
