It's a small thing, but not getting epics immediately will probably feel good.
I was under the impression that quality still mattered. It's good to read about that not being the case, though. I just hope it doesn't impact item level since you still need that to access more content.
If every item isn't legendary orange what's the point of playing?
Enchants are certainly going to be an interesting market for a while.

No new Fez or Pendulum in new Uldaman? Why not?
the only thing this affects is enchanting, and therefore, the only reason this is being done is to support the dragonflight profession system, which is awesome and will take weeks to progress throughthis will make it quite hard to get epic enchants which will sorta gate the resource - you can't really craft epic gear either without other gated materials either, and in my experience blue items don't DE into blue crystals as often as before. So it feels like a rebalancing of the enchanting materials relative to what we're used to which is good.long term I'd expect this to help keep the epic crystal at a decent price, usually it's crazy at the start of an expansion then plummets. source- i have like 100+ hours in DF at level 70, I'm a crazy person.I really don't think the change has anything to do with what content is more hardcore or anything like that. It is entirely for enchanting economy, and I expect that will change around a bunch more before release.
For everyone saying this means nothing - Right now you can turn Mythic 0 gear into tier, which you can't do with Blues as far as I know. If they keep that system the same with the creation catalyst coming into Dragonflight, this takes away a few easy pieces of tier gear.
Rare, blue quality sparrows
I like this change. Adds a layer of immersion that defines psuedo power gains with gear quality over the expansion. Makes people stand out more.
As long as they remove the boe greens from boss loot tables, I don't care whether its blue or purple bop. Its rather disheartening to kill a boss and only get a green BoE item. ESPECIALLY OFF A MYTHIC RAID BOSS.Yes, I'm salty about it.
Finally! Everything being epic always felt so useless. Also great change for enchanters to have an easier time farming blues for mats.
For me and most players this makes no difference what-so ever. The ilevel is the same just the color is different. For enchanters this could mean something, I am not one, but I presume these now create different mats due to the change in classification.
Item quality should be more dynamic as an expansion rolls over the patches.Epic gear from the start of the expansion isnt epic at the end of the expansion. They should represent their usefulness to a player. If the next patches zone has greens at the same ilvl, then the older gear is green as well and since grey gear can now be transmogged - this gear should go white/grey when it shouldnt be worn at all.
Oof, looks like crystals for enchanting are going to be in short supply...
