Oh lovely. Just what the game needs. Another way to exclude players.
This will be the new "gear score" addon which eventually everyone will use to create/join groups, which probably will be extended to raids even. I'm worried that this is the start of another elitist phase in WoW.
Addon requires manual updates for fresh score data? It's stupid a bit.
Gearscore 2.0. Lovely just what the WoW needs the most.
If you (the player) need 'tools' like this, it says more about you than you'll ever need to know about me.
Charity begins and ends at home. All this will do is speedup the process. I rarely take players that don't have gold under their name, I only wish to God, that it would show Waves and not just end at Gold. This service is so popular, that two different companies compete for providing it. I see a lot of bad players on alts, and I don't care to waste my time with them. Time and effort, not just one or the other, but both. I'll even start a run, and if a guy isn't cutting it,I'll just call full stop on the run. I don't care if we are ten minutes into the run, I'm not dragging or carrying, unless you are part of the team, and being part of the team or guild, I knew much more about you. This was already occurring, you were just too uniformed to notice.
Never ever in my wow experience I wished blizz would break an addon as I wish they would instantly break this cancer(mean no offense to the creator)One way this could be improved would be score per specific dungeon NOT all of them combined...
Amazing. Yes, their site will get a lot of visitors and everything. Yet, the usual players will find it harder to play the game again. And Blizzard has decided to support this. Just... amazing. No wonder why casual/normal people unsubscribe, honestly...
Past performance is no guarantee of future results... meditate on this.
So here we have a new, or more streamlined, way to exclude "bad players."Okay, but how are the "bad players" supposed to "get better" when those who are "already good" won't let them in on their groups so they can learn and improve? This is just going to further alienate people from each other, concentrate the "good players" into a "1%" sort of situation, while everyone else is left to muddle through feeling bad about themselves for "not being good enough" while simultaneously being ostracised from the very community that could (should?) be encouraging them to improve. When you want to learn a thing you do it by learning from those who are already good at it. You don't do it by assembling a group of people who don't know how and just hope they figure it out.I know I don't matter in the larger scheme of things, I'm not a famous YouTuber or anything like that, but I've been a member of the WoW community since 2004. I remember the days of Gearscore and the hellscape that it was. I was disappointed in people who used to that way it ended up being used (same as this will be) then, and I'm disappointed in this too. This is trash. Wowhead should be ashamed of itself for giving it even more exposure by highlighting its existence with this article.
Would be fine if these kind of addons were only used for high key pushing (above 15) in pugs, but something tells me that won't be the case...
I've never been a M+ runner, only venturing to run a regular Mythic every now and then, but as we approach the end of the expansion, I'm looking for other things to work on. Since I don't have a high score, or a score at all, I may be excluded from getting into the higher M+ dungeons because of this.
