Most Epic drop I ever got was my first Epic. It was back in the good old days of MC. The Azuresong Mageblade dropped for this guild raid alliance we had going on. We spent about 15 mins of arguing over who got it due to the fact that I being a warlock wanted it and a Mage from the other guild wanted it. The fact that it was called a Mageblade caused a huge ammount of drama because according to them it should of gone to the mage. Reason won the day andI how ever won it and was mighty pleased.
My most epic loot was becoming Realm First Cook. It took over thirty people doing their cooking dailies for two days to get enough Northern Spices to level. And the best part is, a girl gets realm first cook!
May not be epic to others, but golly does it rock to finally have it for myself! I've been grinding old Strat for quite some time now. It's to the point that I know the paths of the patrolling mobs, how to NOT die when Baroness goes and throws me into MC and my pet has to take damage from his own mom, and how I really should bring a Paladin along to cure that blasted disease. No matter. Last week I finally received what I'd been searching for more so than anything else in this game. The ever elusive Piccolo! A well known stroll to the back of Strat and there he stood; Mr. Super Rare Forresten. I'd only seen him once in my many travels through the dead city and I had an itching feeling he was holding a present for me. Sure enough, a few thunderstomps and steady shots later, I approached the glittering ghost and right clicked. BOOYAH! "Would you like to annoy the crap out of every raid you go on? How about turn an entire auction house on you for blood? Well have I got a trinket for you!" It was finally mine, at long last! First thing I did with it? Went on an Undercity raid and forced everyone to dance outside the sewer. The chime was music to my ears and so were the random expletives and threats of bodily harm. What did I care? We were all grooving to the tune of the best trinket this game has ever known! And it's all mine.On a more normal scale of epic lootz...Once upon a time, there was a level 69 hunter being chewed out by her guild to hurry up and ding already. She knew it was getting old, her gear was even more so and she was hugging the bottom of the DPS charts. A random day in Shattrah lead to the beginning of her career as an epic lootz winna. An invite was received by an old friend and a few pick up group members. She took the request, hands down; she wanted to hit 70 already! Oddly enough, they went to the most despised and teeth gnashing instance in Outlands: Shadow Labs. She'd only been there once before and hadn't made it past good ole Grandmaster Vorpil. Things would be very different this time around...After the first couple bosses and very few deaths on anyone's part, she felt confident enough that she'd reach the end of the God forsaken dungeon. Finally approaching her greatest nemesis of the time, the Grandmaster leered down at her and the still green, non-epic gear she was donning. Sneering back at him, she gave out a sharp whistle and summoned an undead boar named Beans and prepared to knock the snarky warlock down a few pegs. On the word go... the group wiped by the 50% mark. -_-;Hardly deterred, the five adventurers ran back through to make a second attempt."You're goin' down, councilor!"And sure enough, he did. It was effortless after a bit of strategy tweaks and the huntress thought their work was done... until the blue loot rolls popped up on her screen. o_o"No. Frickin'. Way!""Roll on it, you really need to."She did indeed and in fact was the new owner of her first blue item. Brief tears of joy before she was brought down to earth and urged to continue on. They had one more boss to take down...Opening the creaky doors of the back room in Shadow Labs revealed the ethereal form of Murmur."HOLY CRAP! What the deuce is that thing!"With a lot of work in clearing the trash before the swirling cyclone of pain, a bit of tactical fight patterns were discussed before an attempt was made on the final boss..."Wow, that was easier than I thought," she spoke aloud from the tent she'd just exploded in.After a few final shots from her bow (she wasn't carrying any ammo for the gun yet), the boss finally disappeared in a groan of wind before a swirling whisp of gold surrounded the hunter..."/g DING MOTHATRUCKA!""GRATZ! x18"She'd finally reached the newest peak in life and was happily dancing to the tune of a level 70 song... then her world spun on it's side as she collapsed in surprise...Sonic Spear had dropped with elemental's death and as the only hunter in the group, it couldn't have been a more appropriate birthday present. She picked up the rare polearm with shaky hands but her grip steadied as the power of air took hold of her soul."Next time we run this, you better be out DPSing me," her friend, a decently geared rogue, spoke from the shadows."I'm 70 now, and with these little goodies, I better be ready for Kara soon..."*three weeks later with major gear improvements* "How did I die just by that freaking horse LOOKING at me? *accepts rez*"The End.
They call you Lady Luck, but there is room for doubt:Sometimes you have a very unladylike wayof running...aka, C'mon lucky war bear draw! ;)Perhaps the most epic soloing I've ever done... shortly after 3.0.2 dropped, I decided to test my limits and went to solo Hellfire Ramparts - in an interesting way. I went in as a Prot-spec Paladin in half Holy and half Prot plate. It actually didn't work out too bad. The extra spellpower helped me to kill faster and kept me alive some, and the defense was enough so that, at 70, I was taking blows like a champ. It is the lowest BC instance, after all. :P But regardless, after about 45 minutes when I finally downed Nazan and his rider, I felt like I'd accomplished something.A close second to soloing instances: The first time I pulled the entirety of Scarlet Monastery Chapel and survived. ;) Now that was a lot of bodies...
I was frantically running around Blasted Lands at level 55 on my protection paladin, thinking "I can't find enough quests to get to 58, and when I DO get to 58 through my only option of AOE grinding, I won't have nearly enough money to eventually get my epic mount at 60." I had spent days working just on getting to 55, so it was disappointing to see I wouldn't have enough to pay my epic mount costs, especially when the blood elf paladin Thalassian Warhorse looked awesome (come on, it has a horn coming out of it). As I thought about all this while AOE grinding 6-7 level 50 mobs in Blasted Lands, I figured this was my only option. But then, Precisely Calibrated 250g dropped. It paid for my epic mount. It made me happier than ever.
Getting my first world drop BOE blue was pretty exciting. I don't remember what it was, but I can tell you I still kill that same bear in Ashenvale every time I ride by.
Most epic drop I've ever had was actually two. On my first run of Kara both my T4 gloves and helm dropped, and I won them. I vowed to pass on all loot the newt run.
I didn't get an epic loot from my epic battle but the battle... that was a different story let me set the scene for you. Nightbane with 45 health everyone else dead except for me and my little cloth geared resto shammy I'm running as fast as I can dropping every totem in my arsenal just when he almost has me I turn around and Earth shock em. Dead in his tracks Vent was screamin First ever drop of nightbane for our guild and it was definatly one I wouldn't forget, Oh and his little flamy dragon shield dropped too :P
