The most epic drop I ever got was probably the Argent Avenger, because is looks like a lightsaber and the Martin Thunder all rolled into one! EPIC!
My most epic loot would have had to be when I was leveling my first character ever, a tauren hunter. I was trying to achieve the impossible at the time and solo the MC attunement quest. My whole guild told me it couldn't be done and i should just grab a group but i wouldn't give in. So there it began,I was doing pretty good. made it all the way across the big room (only having to feign death once) and opened the funky lock doohicky on the bridge. I turned and made my way toward where the black anvil stands and jumped down into the lava, barely avoiding the boss. Now, let me tell you, swimming in lava kind of hurts and you should never try it (unless you too are trying to achieve the impossible (well not anymore) quest of soloing the MC attunement). Now I got to that last island and had to stop to eat. But lo and behold, one of the fire elementals standing guard against intruders agroed on me. I quickly called out my pet and feigned interrupting the cast. An epic battle later what should drop but a Bow of Searing Arrows! An epic loot dro on the only mob I was forced to kill! That bow led me through MC until I could do the quest for the Hunter bow. That was my most epic loot drop.
The most epic moment and item for me was the scepter of shifting sands.I begun to farm it at level 60 and was able to complete the red and almost the whole blue questline during vanilla. However, the lack of elementium ore during tbc launch and the pain to farm the nightmare fragments kept me waiting almost a whole year before I could finish the last two parts, killing Maws and turning the nightmare fragments in.To be honest, the scepter itself didn't gave me the "epic loot feeling" - the last nightmare fragment did, obtained in ashenvale.
You really do always remember your first time.My "most epic" drop is definitely Deadman's Hand.I've played nearly a year and never had a single epic drop for me.The stamina was, at the time, a nice boost for my Paladin and I wore it for quite some time.I had to recently disenchant it due to bag space restrictions.I would love a feature in our Achievements section that tracked all the epic loot we ever owned and, if applicable, where it dropped (and when).
got Coren's Lucky Coin from Brewfest boss.man i use this every fight, mobs or boss battles.it's a constant trinket i wear at all times.
My most epic loot had to be Hippogryph Hatchling. Okay, okay, maybe that doesn't count. But I really am a pet nerd, because my best drop ever was Phoenix Hatchling.
My Winged steed of the ebon blade is my first epic mount of Northrend lol not much but im happy about it! Today was my first time riding it! :)
For the last few days I posted about my Deadman's Hand (http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=34227), but I have to say that recently changed.I leveled my druid to 80 and had been playing her for a week or two when my father-in-law died yesterday morning. I was pretty sad so I logged onto WoW just so I had some people to talk to (I'm on an RP-PvE server so we're pretty social). Well a lot of people were whispering me to run instances and I just wasn't up for it. So, to pass the time in peace I logged onto my 70 hunter I hadn't touched since the xpac came out. I headed out to gather some leather. On his first three skins in Northrend he got Arctic Furs. Maybe someone was giving me a little nudge for thinking about him :)
It was my first Ony raid ( back when 60 was top lvl), & it was as friend's guild I just joined. I was on my fury warrior & they phrase were like clockwork, Then I heard on vent "turn it around" So at that point I excute non stop, so I'm already running in a circle trying to "turn it around" (I didn't know better) So, I get agro, but i'm moving like a rogue spinning on ony & shes spinning , hitting the whole raid they thing ony bugged out since they never saw her spin like that & she kills us all at 1%, .. after that lil set back & a lot of joking. we downed her & I got my first purple, the head of ony.. that everyone already got before & didn't need as I was told, but I didn't care I got to give it in the next week.
