"If we loosen restrictions and allow the formation of social bonds, there’s no way we can ever roll that back. We can’t tell a group that’s been playing together for some number of months, sorry, we decided this was a mistake, you can’t do that anymore."In an MMO - why would allowing social bonds be a bad thing? If you're already allowing for people to play together across faction, what is the issue with allowing cross faction guilds?
It seems that Ion is finally listening and making discussions on how to move forward with feedback.I hope they continue to learn from Borrowed Power since it is a continuously heated topic. It doesn't feel good incorporating new abilities into our rotation (especially when some classes had some pretty broken abilities in the beginning) and the losing them later on. We want something that does carry over. Something more permanent to get for our classes.Touching on Cross-Faction guilds. I would love to see that as an option. It gives certain players the freedom to actually play an opposing faction when their friends are on the opposite team. So either you start a new character over or you pay money to change faction. You can still go about that in a lore perspective to and finally introduce a different form of Player Housing... Guild Halls/Islands. That would keep factions outside of the main city since there is still hatred within the faction leaders. Plus, it could had a whole list of cool features that could involve the guild members and help work on the social aspect of the game. Obviously, they can have a toggle system that could keep certain guilds to be one sided if they chose to. So I would not be opposed to cross faction guilds just for the social aspect of the game.
Again just good RP talk, while on the other side they dont do enough. For example the "Skip" for alts in Zereth mortis comes at a great cost.. almost 2k reputation which is over a week of rep farm with other means. So if you dont want your alt to stay behind you do the campaign again. I know I did on my paladin cause that 2k rep is 2k rep...As for cross-faction guilds... feedback is everywhere.. I dont remember any other change you made for wow last years that was so hyped as cross faction. Forums are full of people ask for a complete merge. Feedback is here, but if you dont want to act you can just continue talking..
"If you have to do some content to unlock quests in this area or unlock access to this dungeon or unlock the ability to fly, re-earning those things doesn’t feel like a reward when we ask you to do it the second or third time. It just feels like a penalty we inflict, and that’s not what rewards should feel like. "OK Ion......... But I have to do 9 chapters of a covenant campaign to be able to buy a cosmetic appearance. Because i mistakenly made my covenant leather alts druids/rogues or death knights instead of warriors. So now I am punished and have to run through the whole tedious campaigns (after already doing it 16x) again just to get 1-2 item slots of cosmetics..... The covenant campaign serves no other purpose than to lock the purchase of those cosmetics.... why isnt there an account wide achievement or something for completed X covenants campaign...... When the expansion dropped i knew i would need a minimum of 4 toons per covenant to unlock everything due to armor types but i neglected to think about the weapon proficiency. So i did the campaign on each armor class just to need to do it some more. Same thing for the covenants unique structure... I grinded ember court on my main and hated every second of it.... but now i need to do it on mail, leather, cloth..... um no thanksthe only covenant structure that seems tolerable on alts is the conservatory because its a chill experience.
Sylvanas commanded the Horde to burn down Teldrassil, and they went along with it. People still playing Horde after BFA are the real villains of this game, and they know it. If Blizzard ever makes interacting socially with Horde players mandatory, such as with cross-faction guilds, I'm out. Cross-faction grouping is bad enough, but at least I can turn that off, or just leave a group if someone insists on playing with those "people", but I will not pay for a monthly subscription while being forced to associate with them. We remember the First War. We remember the Second War. We remember the Third War. We remember the Fourth War. We remember Lordaeron. We remember the Wrathgate. We remember Southshore. We remember Gilneas. We remember the Rape of M'uru. We remember the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. We remember Ashenvale. We remember the Druids of Stonetalon. We remember Theramore. We remember Teldrassil.
>The third warThe war where both factions were on the same side and the two groups that suffered the brunt of it are now on horde?>M'uruYou clearly don't
