How else are you gonna get the soul ash but by running torghast anyway?
I don't understand why they don't just give soul ash for doing open world, pve, and pvp content and just make getting anima from the torghast? Like it makes sense we get legendary memories from all this pve and pvp content why not the resource to craft em and story wise all the anima was being sucked into the maw so why not allow people to use torghast to farm it since it makes cus of the lore.Like an example of this soul ash for pve/pvp is like hey per M+ level you get 50 soul ash so a 12 gives someone 750 soul ash or like x anima per rated arena win based on your rating or like 25 per world quest. It rewards everyone for the content they want and gives them the ability to craft between multiple legendaries since if done through torghast it takes 5 weeks to craft 1 max rank legendary which makes it an awful time investment. And lets be real no one wants to do torghast especially on their alts for legendaries it sooo unfun.... What they should do for torghast is use each individual wing for like a mini introduction into the different environments to torghast and have them go from floor 1-3 as a mini tutorial and a way for people to get their legendary memory and have twisting corridor be what it was in the beta and go to like 100 floors and just reward you with like get X amount of anima times the floor you get up to with like off set armor colors for your covenant, titles, off color mount, and pet based on how high you climb. Like who cares if its a pub stomp the point of roguelikes is to have a build and feel op just to get hard stomped by a boss or mechanic further down the line and try again.
trying to defend their #$%^ty project of Torghast to the end. They noticed that majority of people dislike it and never visit the sh*thole after they get their leggo, so now they are forcing you to do it.
You know what's going to happen... a roflstomp at best, a stealth-through at worst, on layer one, then HS out.Silly.Just put one of those vendors in the main Choreghast chamber, that place needs a repair vendor anyway.
This is what happens when expectations get violated. But both Wowhead and the players who assumed things are at fault. Wowhead, for not telling us is the context earlier, and players, for inventing a context most desirable to them. However, if it is true that initially just the item was in the ptr build, and vendor and torghast restrictions were added in a later build, then the fault for mismanaging expectations falls on Blizzard instead of Wowhead. But either way, the fact of the matter, as a couple people have pointed out already, is that this is a method to transfer soul ash where none previously existed. There was never a time when we could transfer soul ash to other characters. The funny thing is, not adding an mechanism to transfer ash at all would most likely have resulted in less complaining.
That would make way more sense.
Sounds good to me, it'll make gearing more alts easier
I hate to break it to you but there really isnt much difference. The thing that makes this better is if you are prioritizing one character, you can easily farm soul ash on all your characters and get them their 235 leggo week one.
I personally don't think it's a good idea. From the looks of it, you have to do 6 floors to get to the final vendor in order to get it. Imagine going with a group of people on a higher layer of Torghast and get to the final floor only to have someone purposefully (or accidentally) turn the vendor into an anima power. There are better vendors they could put this token on for sure.
clearly blizzard knows that SL is pure sht and needs to reinvent the concept of "time lost" wasting the game experience with things as this one...you need to enter and clear the tower to send SA loosing 200 of it...run with your alt!200 is too expensive.vendor must be out of the tower.
I'm convinced that Blizz devs are making the most asinine decisions about how to handle these QoL updates with the express purpose of intentionally pissing off the players. There is literally zero reason this shouldn't just be something bought from the Runecarver. But instead they shoved this in as another way to try and force people into Snoreghast while simultaneously punishing them for daring to play more than one character. The degree to which the WoW dev team is out of touch with the game's customer base and the players in general is mind boggling. Like seriously, how can they keep making this many horrendously not thought out decisions back to back to back and honestly think they are good ideas?
The devs are just out of touch. Just more beta garbage for a beta expansion.
So can i just load up a Layer 1, get to floor #3 ,buy the item and leave a bunch of times? cuz i have like 70k soul ash i need to send saved across 5 toons.
