I may be a web designer, but my skill level is probably way lower than anything you're looking for. Unfortunate.
It would be pretty ace if we could get some HTML5 in here, maybe even some WebGL. I've unfortunately never done any OpenGL coding though.
postgresql? PHP? Python? C? Linux? Gentoo? Are you sure you want employment and not a lifemate? :POn a serious note, the kind of work I need volunteers for is more artistic than code-y. Header images, banners, models, image editing, etc.
If they have nothing for me could I volunteer for the artsy stuff too? ^ :P
I recently designed this web and the owner was so pleased he had a massive smile on his face.I expect my paycheck on Monday. Teal will be fine as my text colour.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
Unfortunately, I also am working full-time as a web designer right now... (although they've given me the title of Art Director, which is pretty awesome)
DAMN YOU!I R This to a tee!And I'm attractive to boot! You couldn't have put this up maybe three, four months ago? Before I invested 100% of my time and like 999% of my money into starting my own business?
Guys, I've deleted more posts than I've left. If you have nothing relevant to the position of a web designer, don't post. Simple as that.
I don't have a resume but I may be just what you're looking for.I'm an artist, and a designer, as well as a seasoned web application developer. And I already work from home, for myself, so I have no trouble with working unsupervised or with availability.Code-wise, I am fluent in PHP, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (with or without libraries like jQuery) and XML (if there is anything to learn there). When I say fluent I do mean fluent.Design skills are harder to quantify but naturally I am also fluent in Photoshop and here is a layout that I just started working on a short while before stumbling on this thread. It's for a friend's Japanese war movie project.http://imgur.com/ecsTCI do have one dirty secret and that is that I only actually played WoW in vanilla and TBC. Wrath seemed too easy and I had lots of freelance work thrown my way, so I quit just a few months after it came out. This would give me an excuse to get back into it, though. :-)P.S. Even Imgur likes me! It named my link ecstasy.Edit: I just clicked the actual job link and you noted a few more skills there that I do have but just didn't mention. I know all about JSON and Ajax since it just falls under JavaScript, and I have to admit that I do work with Flash sometimes. Quite dislike it, though.
Applications go through the email, not the comments. And composing a resume takes no more than an hour, so go do it :)
Hey Guys,I am just wondering if we were to apply will we hear back if we do or don't get it? or will we only hear back if we do?Also approx how long do we have to wait until we will hear back? Thanks
They usually keep the thread up for a couple days across the entire board then confine it to WoW General. Maybe they're trying to get a large pool of applicants?
We are going through resumes now, this should be up for a little while longer then will be taken down.
So will we hear back either way if we do or don't get it?
