I can't help but notice Kyrian is just dominating for most class / specs.
Just get kyrian for every class LOL
I’m very worried the numbers of kyrian that is supposedly BiS.Raid Column: (2 overlaps)Kyrian = 20/36Night Fae = 3/36Necrolord = 6/36Venthyr = 9/36Mythic Column: (5 overlaps)Kyrian = 21/36Night Fae = 5/36Necrolord = 4/36Venthyr = 11/36
Covenants being purely cosmetic/flavor choice would be much better than this $%^&e.
Going Necrolord no matter what.
I just hope people remember that balance changes are a thing. Expect some nerfs and buffs and with it a lot of complaints. Better not play with extreme zeal with these Covenants, if you are truly not going to be breaking any records.
Covenants should've never been anything other than cosmetic. What if I want to do PvP and PvE? Do I grab a bad covenant ability for raiding just because I want to be competitive in PvP? Yet I'm EXPECTED to do PvE in order to be competitive in PvP. Blizzard's logic is bizarre to say the least. Why can't we just swap freely like a regular talent tree? This would literally solve all of the problems at the cost of what...? "Meaningful choices". I'd wager that most of the players probably don't care about that, they just want to be able to play the game without having to jump over hurdles at every turn.
With guides like these you feed exactly into the notion that Covenants are supposed to be something to be minmaxed per spec and content. They are not.
Except you can pick kyrian for guardian and feral and be good
people 1 year ago on the forums: "Don't worry, they will balance it. There won't be one covenant significantly stronger/weaker than the others."Yeah, didn't quite work out like you though it will ... Not like some of us could clearly see how covenants will end up. Oh, and for those who still believe that they won't be denied in PUGs because they have the "wrong" covenant. You will
Like mentioned a million times now ... they either unlock all 4 covenant class abilities or make em all equal useless ... i rather prefer the first option.Having Transmog / mounts / conduits trees /weeklys is enough of a "meaningful choice".
IMO, this was likely a bad article to have published.Too many people can't get their head around the fact that the difference in power won't matter to the vast majority of the playerbase. 1) If you're not in a hardcore guild pushing content, don't worry about this stuff 2) If you are in a hardcore guild pushing content, you've made your choice to prioritize min/max over cosmetics, so stop whining that you can't have it both waysAnd while we're at it3) People should really stop acting like their opinion, or the opinion of the handful of people they've talked to, qualifies as "what the players want"
Worst part about his post is it doesn't give you any numbers to look at. Their "best" covenant can literally be 1% better than the other options but you don't see that. All you see is what they say is #1 and people automatically assume the other options are &*!@.
Disclaimer...these may NOT be the Best Covenants for All Classes in Raid and Mythic+.
cool, tell the 19 other people in your raid that you picking the best covenant to help you as a guild progress was meaningless to you, and you instead cared more about having an edgelord red pixel covenant ability. Sad
