For those who think that the new Pterrordax models are just a recolor of the Armored Skyscreamer Meta mount from Throne of Thunder... Open two browsing tabs, this page and the page for the Reins of the Armored Skyscreamer and view one of the new Pterrordax models on this page in 3d and view the Armored Skyscreamer in 3d... they are VERY different. They have completely different stances, armor, etc... It does look like some of the animations are similar, but it isn't anywhere near the blatant recolor and nothing more that those 6 year old Gryphon mounts are sporting.... I always did like that gryphon model, but to just recolor it and nothing more while the Horde side gets much more interesting mounts with considerably more time invested does feel like laziness and/or favoritism to me... and I primarily play Horde.
Hey Blizzard your boner for Horde is showing -_-
Blizz need to seriously put a bit more thought into the alliance mounts. Horses and Gryphons? Wow.. how unique.... the Bloodswarmer and Pterodax ones for horde look very cool though. Even the Wolf whilst overused looks quite different from most of the other wolf models, due to the armor.
Are both the horde AND the alliance rewards/mounts added to our collection if we just play one faction? ... Wouldn't really seem fair against collectors if they had to play with both sides at the same time. Especially if the Blizzard hates on alts again like in early Legion.
Actually there are horses mount which seem to be available for both Horde and Alliance, and they are drop mounts (confirmed from mobs in specific areas). One of them being the Goldmane or Goldemane which is the same as the Admiralty horse mount but in a blonde/ gold color, and people on reddit have seemed to have dropped and and learned it as Horde and Alliance, so there is definitely the possibility of getting the new horse mounts as Horde, also the "Lost Pack Mule" (or a similar name) which is basically a remodel of the new horse in grey with some accessories on it like a Mule.
It's not a recolor, they just re-used the same base skeleton for the design and then changed it, I think it's what some people were trying to say instead of presuming it was just a re-color. Just my opinion but thats what I believe. After all it's a large dinosaur-like bird who walks on its hind legs with armor, so there is a similarity, granted not as much as the direct gryphon recolor but yeah
On the BFA Alliance/Horde only reputation mounts from the BFA factions, is it wrong to expect that when you get/learn the mount for one side that you learn the equivalent mount on the other side as we have with all the other Alliance/Horde only mount we have in our mount collections? I'm finding that it sucks that this same principle isn't being applied with them.
