And what about the cov campaign that they also said was going to be skippable and then pulled a bait and switch at the last minute? Lol. I've done the nf campaign FIVE TIMES. It's the only way to continue the chains of Domination campaign and get the grappling hook points in Korthia, for example. It's not fun.
Good on them to put this in the game right out of the gates instead of months into the patch.
These are good news, but first comments are still complaints :D wowhead is great
Finally.. I hope blizzard keep doing this for future expansions and patches... I usually take my time to read and understand these questline, and is TOOO boring repeat them with alts one time after other, good for us all I guess.Still waiting for a new account Reputation system but still happy with skips
People were asking if they learned their lesson? Well I will be honest, this is a very positive sign. Their motto of introducing features that are punishing for alts, only to put a skip or "quality of life" change months and months down the line has practically infamous at this point. So this is a very good sign indeed
The current campaign on the PTR stops at quest "Cyphers of the First Ones" , since the system is not yet implemented.
ajajaj i like it, the history repeats everytime they f-ed on alts players now this is the majority of players left they engage for easy win
Nice, let’s hope they keep doing things like this.
A conduit catchup is still badly needed at this point. Especially if it could be made along the lines of purchasing on a main then mailing it to alts to give them a full set of baseline conduits for their class. Korthia helps but bad RNG can really slow things down since Soultwining Crescent can't be purchased and both dungeon/LFR drops and World Quests are unreliable sources.
More skips = creation of more rushers and grinders. As we all know, rushers/grinders are the most toxic, as well as the ones who complain the most. Yet Blizzard loves to give them whatever they cry for. Meanwhile, all the real players are wondering why we need a SKIP when the whole point is actually enjoying the game's content. We are not supposed to be max level after a day, a week or even a month. Its a long game because its supposed to be. We are supposed to EARN what we achieve. Not just spoonfed ways to skip everything. After all these years I am soooooooo glad I took my time to enjoy the game the right way. To see and do everything and not rush or skip. While I may have reached end if expansion content a few weeks/months later than the rushers, I sure as heck had wayyyyyyyy more fun doing so! And still never had to grind for ANYTHING in almost 14 years! Why? Because we CHOOSE to grind by being impatient. WOW is a game to enjoy over time, not in one sitting only. Lets hope that Blizzard remembers that no one needs or wants a skip. If they complain it takes too long to get through content with 10 alts, then thats the players fault for creating too many alts. The game is perfect as it is and has always been so. For most of us anyways. But that darn vocal minority still gets Blizzard to do whatever they cry for. I will always love WOW for the game itself and some players. Catering to players who will leave the game the second new content is done doesnt help anyone. Lets try catering to the players that stay and enjoy ALL of the game and not just when a patch drops.
What I would like to see a skip of is that damn archivist quest campaign. Korthia is tedious enough as it is when you come there with an underpowered alt without having to do a bunch of repeat quests before you can start grinding research BS - which should be account wide by the way. All reps and similar should be account wide.Ve'nari is a particularly egregious rep this expansion. Zone progress is gated around it (well, was), boreghast power is also gated around it, and it is highly time-gated with daily and weekly quests, and before the jailer eye was removed you can't even grind boss mobs for itty bitty portions of rep because you'll max out the eye meter in notime and get killed. "Wonderful" game design...It's as cynical and opportunistic as a pay-to-win F2P game, except with a subscription attached.
