I really like Dratnos' way of discussing this, he's a very intelligent guy. Even if you don't agree with him, his reasoning is logically solid. Blizzard should give him a lucrative part-time consultancy gig, it'll be so worth it for them.
Exploit early and exploit often. . . Is it a bug that your focus "target" doesn't count as a target because of spaghetti code? Sure as hell is. Going out of your way to play an inferior spec, especially during RWF, change your UI, change ALL your ability macros is absolutely intentional and exploiting this wasn't by mistake. He didn't trip over this interaction. Grading exploits based on %dps gain is a copout to avoid punishment. Ultimately it's blizzards fault for not issuing penalties and it will continue to happen across the board for all teams until the slap on the wrist comes.
Liquid exploiting a week after Echo.Second place like always.
People *!@#$ing about exploits need to STFU. Go get laid bc who gives a %^&*. Makes the game fun and shows intelligence to think of fun ways to get the edge.
"Banning" those RWF raiders for only four days, before even the heroic week started was a clear sign that Blizz doesn't have the guts to do the right thing when it comes to RWF guilds despite them preaching it to casuals and even hitting those poor casuals much harder for little things.
You might have a healer or tank who has all their damage and 'boss' spells on a macro that has "/cast *SPELL* @target, @player, @mouseover, @focus" or something depending on what the spell is, so when they are not targetting anyone or pressing a spell that gives no benefit to their target/mouseover it will cast on their focus, they can then focus the boss for said benefit.I think of something like resto druid, focus the boss, never need to target them and when you press Sunfire and Moonfire or Wrath it will target the boss, but if an add spawns you can click on them to use those spells as a target option, but you never need to actually target the boss, so when you are casting Rejuv and Regrowth if everyone is full health to save time you just press Wrath and it starts casting on the focus, which is the boss. It's not unheard off, players who play this way may end up just doing the same for bosses even when they are DPS, especially ones who have a habit of untargetting the boss, or when there are add heavy fights so no matter what they are always at 100% uptime on something.Players can even have a @targetoftarget or target of focus if that exists, have their target as the tank and never need to target anyone but the tank so they can always be hitting what the tank hits, this is very normal high level game play that your average player will not do, but very possible for players to play this way.
