Yeah I know...But if we dont get all the things we allready have on Rio, there's no point on using blizzio.Casuals will use Blizzio and the rest of us will still be using Rio.
The problem isn't the score itself, it's how the community uses the score. Just like everything else in wow, people expect you to exceed the requirements of the actual content to get in. ie: If heroic drops 213, they want you to be at least 213 (or higher) to get in the group
As someone who got KSM as a necro hunter through pugging I wish this was in place sooner.I have been declined because people don't update RIO on a daily basis and my scores were going up basically daily.I just wish they could implement a skill based system rating, the amount of boosted people is ridiculous, Sire 40k, 15 in time 80k, sad times we're living in.
Something I don't see get mentioned is how you know what level key would be appropriate for your current score. That would be a nice addition, something that suggests the key you should be going for. Also, how does it work for really lopsided experience? For instance, I've two keyed a +11 but there are 2 dungeons I've never done. Will it average it so that it makes me look less experienced on the ones I've done a lot and more experienced on the ones I haven't?
I"ve said it too many times now: your rio metric is not a competiitive score in any way, shape or form. It is a number that can be purchased and proves one thing: you managed to convince others to assist you in completing mythic+ dungeons at certain levels. I would rather know your FPS & VRAM Statistics, personally. The Wowanalyzer site takes it a step forward in many areas - but i believe it is far from perfect as well - especially for my specialization combined with my covenant choice. however, it is extremely useful as a starting point for many areas (assuming you have the system capability, because let's be honest..if you've been pulling 5 fps on certain "high notes" of a series of encounters and still managing to not get banned en masse' than you are probably worth a coin or three more than the rest of the lot braggin in trade chat about how great their dps is, while neglecting the following: Stuns, ccs, tranqs, pet dismissal, haste/lust/hero effects, and last but not least hunter interrupts with an often late but never missed 24 second cooldown at present.)..maybe clear your ignore list and get some better allies in this - as i came to win - by my definitions at this time or any other and that has absolutely nothing to do with an ilvl "gear score" or raider.io prepaid customer score. At the end of my day you gave the run or got the run so don't run your mouth off about having a lower ilvl with a higher dps in my mythic+ or i bring out the psychotronic solution, yet again..you already knew that from '09 though, some of you..the rest cannot compete with it so enjoy your "game" of hunter misdirects, tips and tricks to make my sparse lower and watch me die. i know all about that in here. which is kind of funny when i'm the last man standing, or feigning death too long and dying anyways. but i digress.
Uff, another reason to want to stay away from M+. M+ was already toxic with rio elitism, this will make it even worser.
sadge, if it dosent show the number of timed 15s, 14s-10s, most ppl will still use Io
This marks the end of pugging for people of average and below average skill, tbh. There's no sense now to keep gathering ilvl in the bags. Everyone will look into the new set of numbers which cannot be acquired.
IDK man I just do 15s and 14s for boxes and it's easy. This changes absolutely nothing for me and I imagine the vast majority of the playerbase just runs keys at this level or lower and only sweaters bother pushing their score up so they can sell boosts to baddies. This changes nothing for try-hards who will just grind things relentlessly to better sell runs to scrubs and changes nothing for scrubs who will just buy runs anyway. The only losers in this, as with IO as it is now, are people that are terrible/lazy that somehow hope to get carried for free without anyone checking them. Of course, people not checking them are themselves bad I'd imagine so I have to wonder exactly how they even get carried in the first place if everyone in the group is lazy and bad. In THAT case, I'm going to assume this score will not even matter because someone who doesn't check it now won't check it then. It's all just an argument of people trying to insist score matters beyond a basic level (ie taking someone to 15s who has done multiple 15s, the metric I use and expect others to use since it's sensible and easy) because they want to sell carries/believe the carries they bought mean something. Hell people insisting "I just do this for fun" and "I see it as a personal challenge" and so on are perfectly fine really, this is for them I guess because they do what they do without hurting anyone. Hell they're helping the harlots that boost baddies by making IO sound important and impressive so they definitely have to buy those tokens. I'm glad people buy tokens too because they're cheaper for me to get off the AH. Everyone wins.
