I really don't know why Blizzard keep making these same mistakes. It's Tol Dagor Cannon all over again. They put in these kind of stuff, which allows creative gameplay, but then they fail to put in certain restrictions. Obviously these are gonna get abused without them. I never really understood the point of the endlessly spawning adds, but hey, at least here they went by what can be considered the least amount of interference.
People want things to be challenging until they find cheese mode stuff.enough with the fun detected nonsense. Do things as intended.
Good, having to play around these adds was really annoying
this
They made a mobs that purposely do friendly fire, even if u have IQ 5, its obvious to understand WHY, I dont understand why destroying the obvious strategy for the dungeon....It would be eq of removing Canons from Tol Dagor....I mean thats the reason they are they for...
They should make the bombs have a max target cap, not affect bosses, and the ones on the gauntlet should only friendly-fire the other mobs in the gauntlet. That way at least it wouldn't impact groups using them as normal. The reduction in the radius is going to make them much harder to use for average groups.
Meanwhile the Venthyr dungeons remain SUPER tight and harder without their Covenant help. Fun detected yet again Blizzard.
Well, at least they aren't removing them. If they have to be nerfed then I'd rather still be able to use them. Bomb strats are super fun in my opinion.
Actually, it's hardly fun for the higher m+ groups. Because of the plagueborer strategy, dps are largely irrelevant in this dungeon until the 2nd boss. Just waiting around while the borers kill everything isn't fun.
It's hard the first time people go in, but the mastery of using the bombs is one of the fun parts of the dungeon.
My group never considered doing this, so the nerf doesn't have the same weight to us as it likely does to others, but I feel bad for folks who relied on this. At least it's not nerfed to the ground.
I mean if the function was added by Blizzard then it is intended - so people are doing it as intended? It's on Blizzard to put in restrictions or just not add friendly fire to the mobs in the first place if the mechanic was unintended to begin with. I don't agree with the 'fun detected' sentiment, but you can't say people aren't playing as intended if the mechanic was added. Seems like the function was intended but Blizzard underestimated the scope with which players could/would use it. Same thing with Tol Dagor. If they add mechanics like this then from the get-go they should restrict their use heavily to line up with how they want it to work.
Nothing like seeing a mechanic that 95% of the playerbase was using as intended get nerfed because some MDI tryhards were abusing it.
