Mount Riding Updates with Patch 10.1.5 - Automatically Learned for Free, New Mount

Harbor GryphonReins of the Scarlet Pterrordax

Characters now learn the appropriate mount riding skill upon reaching the appropriate level without needing to visit a mount trainer:

Level 10 - Apprentice Riding
Level 20 - Journeyman Riding
Level 30 - Expert Riding
Level 40 - Master Riding
Developers’ note: Riding trainers will still exist in the world, but you will be unable to purchase riding skills from them.

Characters that reach level 30 will receive the quest “Time to Fly” and be awarded with a flying mount, Harbor Gryphon for Alliance characters and Scarlet Pterrordax for Horde characters.

"OMFG Blizz, catering to casuals! What next, mounts at level 10?"

When ground mounts were dropped to level 20 and 30, respectively, and costs dramatically lowered again:

"OMFG Blizz, catering to casuals! What next, mounts at level 1 and for free?"

Blizzard then introduces the heirloom mount, usable at level 1. And technically free for having enough heirlooms.

When ground mounts were dropped to levels 10 and 20, respectively, and cost practically nothing:

"OMFG Blizz, catering to casuals! What next, mounts at level 1 and for free?"

Blizzard: Gives training and mounts automatically, for free.

Man, as someone who went through the exorbitant costs of ground mounts and then flying mounts, and remembers when that woman offered to sleep with someone who would pay for her Epic flying training (she did and they both got banned and the flying removed) I'd love to see the look on peoples' faces then if they knew this would happen.Comment by marybcWas hopeful this was the riding update for Dragonflight to allow regular flying mounts there.
